India is the team that is currently diminating all the teams. It all started with Australia. India dominated Australia and then Australia's bad luck arrived. Second team that was badly destroyed by us was England. They lost the series 5-0, which is pretty embarrasing. That was the beginning of England's bad luck since they have also turned to losing streaks now. They are losing to West Indies. Both os these teams are suffering because of India's diminance. Who's Next? New Zealand? What do you say?

It's certainly quite possible that we do become number 1 but certainly not impossible that we don't

I say you need to go out and talk to people who aren't Indians...

Me being an Indian, I can only appreciate the heights of optimism found in this thread creater. :) Keep it up mate..

But on a kind note, Dhoni's captaincy is still yet to be tested in,

  • NewZealand Tour
  • SouthAfrican Tour
  • Carribean Tour
  • England Tour

India do have a poor records abroad.. May be exception is England Tour. But just because of one ODI series victory in Australia doesn't imply at all that India has excelled in Abroad playing conditions. The way SouthAfrica won the Aussies is dominance.. I don't think, it's the dominative time for India now.. May be it can come.. Who knows.

In cricket one team which wins in a streak can collapse like a pack of cards. You never know...

Keep it up guys. Keep the comments coming. This way, we can give courage to our National team to reach even higher heights. No doubt we will become no.1 soon. Until Dhoni is our leader, we will not be dissapointed by our team. This is the way it goes, if Viru falls, then Gauti keeps it up and if Gauti falls then Viru keep it on. If they both fall then Yuvi, Raina, and Sachin keeps it going. But if all falls, then Dhoni is always ready to play a great inning.
On the other hand, Indian bowlers are just dominating other batsmen. I think its going to be a rare thing to see the opposition to make good total, while Zaheer and Ishant continue to uproot stumps.

India are going to conquer the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just because he fails to see the other side of the debate doesn't mean you have to as well. Two wrongs don't make a right. You're being just as dismissive as he is by saying that.

Why would they need to conquer the world when Sachin created it?

Shrav, he's obviously having a go at the one-eyed fanatics who make posts like MSDhoni as am I.

Yeah, so how does that make your post any better than his? He is posting an opinion and you are belittling it without giving your own. He even went as far as to ask what other people think suggesting that he is open to other opinions.

India haven't proven a level of consistency outside the Subcontinent yet, and hence, South Africa are the better side. Until India win consistent series away from home they'll not be the best.

Yeah, South Africa have the best bowling attack which will be further strengthened when Morne Morkel finally realizes the god-like levels of talent he has.

I'm with Shrav. Will and Tom, your better posters than just posting that kind of context(couldn't find the right word).

I think South Africa are a better side, at the moment, as well. India definitely are second for me, but I will be rating Saffers higher until India prove themselves fully away from home. They have the talent, sure, but whether they can consistently perform and get the results away from their home country, is another matter.
