Amla at 5 ?

That's poor selection considering Amla's poor form was one of the major reasons of South Africa's hatrick of losses.

----------

As per the new rule. I've included Sanga who can be solid early on and has done very well behind the stumps as well. Mike Hussey, who replaced Luke Wright, on the other hand is one of the best finishers around.

:wi: Chris Gayle (222 runs @ 44.40, SR 150)
:aus: Shane Watson (249 runs @ 44.80, SR 150; 11 wickets @ 16.00. Eco. 7.33)
:sri: Kumar Sangakkara :wk: (178@ 28.33, SR 126.86, 7 dismissals [6 stumpings, 1catch])
:ind: Virat Kohli (185 runs @ 46.25, SR 122.51)
:wi: Marlon Samuels (230 runs @ 38.33, SR 132.94)
:nz: Ross Taylor (147 runs @ 49.00, SR 145.54)
:aus: Mike Hussey (155 runs @ 77.50, SR 123.21)
:aus: Mitchell Starc (10 wickets @ 16.40, Eco. 6.83)
:sri: Ajantha Mendis (15 wickets @ 9.80, Eco. 6.12)
:wi: Sunil Narine (9 wickets @ 15.44, Eco. 5.63)
:eng: Steve Finn (8 wickets @ 15.37, Eco. 6.15)

I thought we weren't allowed to edit our squads.

Lets face, Ajmal is over. He is losing his touch, especially against Asian teams. Glad he is close to retirement. Raza Hasan hopefully needs to fill his shoes. Already has a better economy rate

@Anish.Ben , please put all of our teams on the first post .

----------

XI I prefer:

Chris Gayle
(222 runs ave - 44.40)
Shane Watson (249 runs ave - 49.80) - Player of the tournament in ICC t20 World Cup 2012
Marlon Samuels (230 runs ave - 38.33)
Brendon McCullum (212 runs ave - 42.40) - only player to score a century in ICC t20 World Cup 2012
Virat Kohli (185 runs ave - 46.25)
Michael Hussey (155 runs ave - 31.40)
Ross Taylor (147 runs ave - 29.25)
Ajantha Mendis (15 wickets ave - 9.80) - Highest wicket taker in ICC t20 World Cup 2012
Mitchell Starc (10 wickets ave - 16.40)
Steven Finn (8 wickets ave - 15.44)
Sunil Narine (9 wickets ave - 15.44)

12th Man: Saeed Ajmal (9 wickets ave - 18.11)

Going with three spinners as they've been most effective in the recent World cup.

Your team is perfect but one thing I didn't really like is Kohli at #5 becasue he'll get less chances to make fifty because the players before him will hardly get out ,so Kohli will waste himself trying to play very aggressive .

Finn 8 wickets eco @6.15rpo avg @15

Starc - 10 wickets eco @6.83 avg @16,4

Mendis - 15 wickets eco @6.12 avg @9.8

Watson - 11 Wickets eco 7.33 avg @16

Steyn - 6 wickets eco 4.82 avg @13.66

Balaji - 9 wickets eco 7.33 avg @9.77

Kallis - 7 wickets eco 6.63 avg @10.42

Yuvraj Singh - 8 wickets eco 5.92 avg @10.12

A bowler gets only 24 balls so Kallis, Singh, Balaji and Mendes are the only ones that will get you 2 wickets with their 24 balls

M Hafeez at lower order ? in the lower order there should be a six hitting batsman.

Strangely enough Hafeez scored most of his runs and his best games in that lower order position. Gayle, Watson, Samuels, Bravo , Morgan, Umar Akmal is more than enough firepower
