Where's the best place to pitch it to take wickets. I try back of a good length but it isn't working. Also im missing the outside edge on full-ish balls. I'm mixing it too

Green Pitch, Bowl just Outside Off Stump, Good Line Length and just swing the ball, there will be lot of edges and u will get wickets.

That's not what he asked? :p
I find line, length, patience and expecting to go for a few runs are the only way on hard pitches. Short balls can be very effective too if the field it well set.

He Havnt mentioned it in post and even if wanna know abt hard pitches then i will still say just to bowl just outside off stump and on good length and swing it and best way to get wickets.

The title does say "Taking wickets on a hard surface" :p

Bowl full and use outswingers and leg cutters with the new ball then pitch it at a good length just outside off for the older ball. Pitching it up on leg stump can also work.

If you still can't get wickets on a hard pitch try using an AI patch, they will give you lots of opportunities for wickets.

I found that on a hard surface, you need to put a man at square leg and then another at backward square leg (orthordox - not deep). Bowl straight bouncers and the batsmen will hook, usually straight at one of the 2 fielders.
