Guys,
I cannot tell you how happy you peple on this forum have made me. Having bought Cricket 2004 this week, I've consequently spent the last 4 days tearing my hair out with the batting.
I've used practice nets, hard shots, long shots, quick shots, early shots, late shots, and crazy shots to somehow get more than a quick single. In ODIs, I couldn't get more than 50 runs in 50 overs (aaaagh!), and that too with most of them singles and extras. In Tests, I spent two whole days amassing 75 all out. And yes, it took me TWO WHOLE DAYS. And I played against Vice Chancellors XI.
I'm just glad I'm a student, and can afford to waste time all day!
I even attempted to download BrianLara Cricket - just to get some cheap thrills from slogging some balls. After that didn't work, I did what everone else does, resort to porn. :w
But back to the topic, I FINALLY, AT LAST, hit my first boundary!!! It turns out batting is easier using the four directional keys, than the numberpad. My god, is it easier.
My life has probably been saved through going through each post about batting on this site. So I thank and salute you.
