The problem is not just the booing, it's the words used by various fans, words aimed directly at Moeen Ali, Racial and religious slurred aimed at his beard and his ethnic origins. That is the problem. I knew a handful of people who went to watch that game and I can't repeat the stuff the Indian fans were coming out with.
So in response to those members who think it's an overreaction, it certainly is not. It's the same as the monkey chants that emanate from the mouths of football fans aimed at black premier league players, chants that I have heard myself. Is it an overreaction to ban those fans from ever attending a football match?
