The Consept (1).png
The Apprentice Cricket Tycoon is created by the now President of the United States Donald Trump in conjunction with the USA Cricket Association. The competitions main objective is twofold, firstly - After the success of the Cricket All Stars tours to America, Trump together with ICC global development manager Tim Anderson decided to bring in "young blood" the best of the best the world has to offer in order to promote the development of cricket in America. Secondly - Fill the vacant position of "President of the USA Cricket Association" as the current President of USA Cricket Association is retiring.

Instead of advertising the position, Trump & the board of trustees (USA Cricket Association) decided best to put the "would be applicants" to the test by challenging them to create and manage a Cricket Franchise in a List A Cricket tournament.
The winner wins the title of The Apprentice - Cricket Tycoon , $1 Million and the title "President of the USA Cricket Association"

Groundsman
Cricket stadiums and venues around the world are prepared and maintained by trained groundsmen, also called curators. Maintaining the pitch and surrounding grounds outfield is much more than mowing the grass and putting on a sprinkler. It is more an art than science, balancing the various environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, soil type, moisture levels and sunlight. These factors determine the types of grasses planted, which collectively create great variability between pitches. Grass pitches can now be grown in hothouses and ‘dropped in’ to the ground ahead of a major match.
Because the majority of all first-class cricketing venues use grass pitches, they require constant maintenance and specialized care. Teams of groundsmen water, mow and roll the pitch with purpose built ‘rollers’ as well as observing an annual schedule of weed control, adequate drainage, aeration of soil and other essential actions to maintain surface standards.

Players get injured due to various reasons. Fatigue, poor technique and unfortunate accidents on or off the field are the most common reasons for players injuries.

Common injuries include the following:

Upper Limb injuries
Shoulder
Rotator cuff tear surgical repair procedure
The most common cause of shoulder injuries to cricketers is a result of fielding. Overuse of the shoulder when throwing repeatedly during fielding in a cricket game can lead to problems such as tendinitis in the biceps, a tear of the supraspinatus tendon or even degenerative changes to the rotator cuff which could result in a surgery to fix the tear.Impingement, a syndrome that occurs when the rotator cuff muscles are inflamed or irritated, is a major injury risk that can develop amongst bowlers. A 2001–2002 study focused on identifying a workload threshold that would avoid an increased risk in shoulder injuries. The study found that bowlers who produced an average of 123–188 deliveries per week were less likely to face injury whereas bowlers who averaged below 123 deliveries or above 188 deliveries per week were at a greater risk of causing injury.

Elbow
Injuries to the Elbow are predominantly a result of poor techniques when both batting and bowling. Having a poor technique causes excess strain on the joint resulting in inflammation of the tendons surrounding the elbow. The inflammation can be treated through physiotherapy and rehabilitation to reduce the inflammation and strengthen the imbalance in the forearm.

Hand
Majority of injuries sustained to the hands and wrists of a cricketer are impact injuries from the contact of the ball causing fractures, dislocations and sprains. Injuries to the fingers are the most common regarding the hand, and are often splinted and compressed to reduce swelling around the joint. Physiotherapy is essential to ensure the stiffness of the joint does not become too severe so that movement at the joint returns to normal.

Back injuries
Bowling action causing stress on lower back
The most common injury location for most cricketers, more specifically bowlers, is the back. According to Stretch (1995), incidences of 33.3% for schoolboys and 17% of A-grade players most commonly suffer from back injuries. Studied techniques of international bowlers who had a side-on action and a front-on action to determine which was a better option regarding the players back. This study reached a solution that "an inability to achieve a side-on orientation during the delivery stride was the main cause of back injuries". Pain in the lower back area is the most common problem that young bowlers face. When performing a bowling action continuously for long periods of time can place excess stress on the lower back muscle tissue which can then lead to serious stress fractures of the vertebra. These stress fractures can lead to a significant amount of time out of the game.

Lower limb injuries

Knee
The most common injuries associated with the knee in cricket occur when a player is bowling. In the landing stride, bowlers are constantly twisting and putting extreme force through the knee joint, this can then result in a strain or more severely a tear to the collateral ligaments. Patellar tendinopathy is a common knee injury that occurs most commonly in bowlers due to the overuse of the tendon which can lead to the tendon fibres beginning to break down. David Lawrence, an English fast bowler is one particular example of how the landing stride when bowling can cause serious injuries to the knee. On 10 February 1992, his left patella shattered during a delivery.

Foot/Ankle
Epidemiological studies looking at the most common injuries that affect fast bowlers found that 11% of injuries involve the foot and the ankle. Majority of the injuries to the feet and ankles of fast bowlers are a result of the impact of the foot planted in the delivery stride. A bowler who's forefoot in their delivery stride is a plantar flex action can cause posterior impingement. After long durations this plantar flexion can lead to the creation of a bone spur which can then be treated through surgery.

Best to manage your players effectively and efficiently!

Each team will start the Auction with the their Nett Income remaining. Nett income is calculated by subtracting the total expenses from the total revenue generated. In short, the more contestants/managers spend initially, the less Nett income they'll have remaining for the Auction.
The players who are going under the bidding process will have a set base price which will be the beginning price for the auctioneers.
The players will be sorted into separate groups based on their role and split into groups. The auctioneer will announce the names of the players, and the teams will start bidding on them. Each cricketer will be bid based on their base price, and the bidding will continue till the auctioneer announces that the player is sold. A player will go unsold if no team bids for them. The auctioneer will give the contestants/managers an option of listing the unsold players they are interested in and will start the bidding for those players for a second time with the base price of the player slashed to half of the original price. If the players remain unsold for the second time, they will be considered unsold in the auction.
The Auction will be public. More info to follow prior to the actual Auction...

Match officials
The Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and Referees comprises the top umpires in the world and was first introduced in April 2002. To ensure the highest possible standards and guarantee impartial adjudication, two umpires from the Emirates Elite Panel stand in almost all Test matches around the world, while one member stands with a home umpire from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires for One-Day International matches.

On average, each member of the Emirates Elite Panel annually stands in 8-10 Test matches and 10-15 ODIs, plus any ICC World events in that year - a potential on-field workload of 75 days plus travel and preparation time, per year. The composition of the Panel is reviewed every year and announced on July 1. These selected officials are contracted to work for the ICC on a full-time basis in a programme shared with their Home Boards.

The ICC supports the ongoing development of all international officials through the appointment of umpire coaches, by bringing them together for training on an annual basis, by employing a full-time digital video specialist to help review decisions, and by conducting regular reviews in Dubai as they pass through on assignment.

Umpire
Traditionally, cricket matches have two umpires on the field, one standing at the end where the bowler delivers the ball (Bowler's end), and one directly opposite the facing batsman (usually, but not always, at square leg). However, in the modern game, there may be more than two umpires; for example Test Matches have four: two on-field umpires, a third umpire who has access to video replays, and a fourth umpire who looks after the match balls, takes out the drinks for the on-field umpires, and also arranges travel and meals for all of the umpires.
