Flintoff and Jones stun Australia
England pulled off an unlikely victory as Flintoff and Jones ran thru Australian lineup. At one stage Australia looked well on the way to a victory after Hayden blazed away to 62 (opening of 74) but the introduction of Flintoff and Jones proved to be the turning point. Australian middle order had no answer to their superb spell. Katich tried to keep the innings together but (fittingly) Hoggard came back in his second spell to wrap up the inning.
Well then, celebrations all around for England fans
as they got just the start they wanted for this series. For Australia, they have to regroup and make a strong comeback in the 2nd test at Chester-le-street starting in a few days. Till then it's good bye from Lords
