Test Cricket is Best Cricket
Good morning all and happy weekend. After the disaster of letting the public choose my last draft and then pretty much everyone (but especially me - sorry all) losing interest very quickly indeed, I've decided to go with the draft idea that I really wanted to run all along: my first Budget Draft.
So the idea of this draft is that you can pick pretty much whoever you want. There are no restrictions here; everyone from Don Bradman to Roland Pope will be available, so long as they played in at least one Test match.
The rules are simple:
So the concept is quite simple really: you pretty much have to pick the best batting side you can without any good batsmen. I'm not unkind, so I'll ignore any decimals; Bradman would count as 99 of your 200, while Roland Pope would count as only 1.

So in this example, the Zimbabwean team is over budget, and (I can't believe I'm writing these words) would have to drop Kevin Kasuza to make space for someone like Brian Chari.

- All players must have played in at least one Test match.
- You can only pick a keeper as a specialist batsman if they have played at least one Test as a specialist batsman.
- The total of all eleven players' Test batting averages may not exceed 200.
