In seek of a challenge, i decided to use the player editor and cut down the skills of my batsmen. I reduced them all by 50%
Given that i reduced the batting skills substantially and also disabled both the bowling cones Batting was quite hard:

It was very important to keep taking singles and not let the bowler dominate. It once happened that i did not pick a short delivery and the bowler confidence rose up - from then on it was REALLY REALLY very hard to come back with the batsmen.
Normally it would be easy to come back if one could see where the ball is going to pitch but without that and reduced skills life was quite tough going.

I still managed to squeeze some runs :clap by speculating where the bowler is going to pitch the ball and just tapping the ball around for singles with defensive shots, it worked really well, coz timing is not an issue hence the batting confidence will be high for most of the time.

I have uploaded some pics of the scorecards
In the end is still lost. It was a reasonably close match. The AI scored the required runs in 19 overs (it was a T20 game) with the lost of 6 wickets - so not too bad!!! ;)

Facit: By reducing the batting skills and disabling the bowling pitch indicators matches can be very interesting.

What do u ppl think?????

It's very much confidence-based this game. You have to get on top of the the bowlers or you can't get near the ball. As a fan of test cricket I was really annoyed that after we made a fuss about leaves causing a loss of confidence in BLIC2005, and were promised that it would be fixed for 2007, that it wasn't.
The only way to play a test match is to score at 15 an over.
Having me the designer and been assured it was being fixed it was a massive let down that they had done nothing.

true test matches are totally unrealistic.
but T20 is sort of ok i guess.
it just pisses me off that these ppl cant make one slightly good Cricket game.

Actually I was just wondering why they cant just build on BLIC 99, same parametres, realism etc only better graphics??????????????
