What I did was get an elastic rope, tie it to a chair, throw it, and then hit it like I was batting. Was fine, the ball came at a quick speed and all sorts of angles, but my bat kept getting tied up with the string and my string was too short. But if you work around it, you can use it as a way to pracitce.
No...it's just that you aren't as corrupt as me. I can't be seen related to one who actually plays 'to win'...
Anyways, we have the Superthread for this...
Wow, I had some fun today
Used a chair as the stumps, and gave myself wickets, scenarios, and terms that I had to play to. Each time I missed the ball and it went anywhere near the chair, I was out and I lost a wicket. Each time I edged it I was out. I had 5 outs, and my goal was to get to 200 runs. (Each hit was a run)
I also made some terms to make the ball act in a certain way.
For example-I'm a leftie, so I would hit it somewhere near the mid on area. The ball would come at an angle something similar to an outswinger or a leftie coming around the wicket. If I hit it somewhere near Mid-off, it would be the opposite-a righthander around the wicket or an inswinger. I got some edges-it was pretty realistic (as realistic as a ball in a sock gets). But seriously, if I had not known where the ball was going, it would have been tougher.
guess i have to practise some more and lead India to victory in the 2015 World Cup
