Two days after your post, in the fifth ODI between Australia and India, Watson faced the first ball and bowled the last.

Right away I thought it had to be a Parore and someone else combination, I to was thinking Chris Cairns. Turns out Jacob Oram and Brendon McCullum have currently combined in taking 34 wickets which I found pretty surprising given the fact they've really only been playing together for six years.

Nah, Smith retired in 1992 a year after Cairns made his one day international debut.
