It was a great match to watch. I was disappointed that some of the German players didn't play. I read that Klose had a back injury and Lahm was suffering from illness. I don't know why the other players didn't play. Maybe L?w wanted to give some other players a match to play.

Anyway, the match would have been different when Aogo would have received a red card in the opening minutes. A tackle like that is surely a red card.

For the match itself it was good that the referee didn't give the red card, because it was a great match to watch. Too bad Forlan missed the free kick in the dying minutes, because I wanted to see some more of this match.

The only disappointment I have as a German fan is that Marko Marin did not get more playing time. Like he should've.

YouTube - Marko Marin - The German Lionel Messi - That's Marin. The German Messi is probably an exaggeration, but he is a similar player, just prefers setting up goals more than scoring them. But, he's only 20 and I guess his time will eventually come.

Final thoughts? Diego Forlan for Player of the Tournament. The reason I'll remember this tournament the most has got to be Forlan's performances. His team lacks the quality of the other semi-finalists, yet he has played well in every single game, afaic.

Muller's easily taking the Young Player of the Tournament award. If Villa/Snejider don't score/assist in the finals, I think Muller gets top goal scorer too, as he has more assists.

An entertaining game but in terms of football, very poor. Both teams defended very badly. Low seemed to have no back up plan other than stick on attackers and change the shape to a less logical one.
