i have the following system:-
Intel Celeron 500 mhz
128 mb ram
Riva TNT 2 M64 with 32 mb

i am currently using detanators 21.81 and am updating to 29.32....can drivers cause difference in game performances???will this game becoem any better using the latest drivers???

Yes drivers do cause a big difference in performance of your video card, a few suggestions would be
-upgrade to 29.42 which are better
-upgrade to directx8.1B
-download 'Rivatuner' from (www.guru3d.com/files) and turn VSync off and use PERFORMANCE settings which usually improves performance by 20%.
-Set AA to OFF and PCI Texture Memory Size to 2Mb in Advanced options of control panel
-Set AGP Apperture Size in Bios 'AGP settings' to 128 and RAM timing to 2-2-2-5

That should atleast improve things a bit

On the subject of drivers, is anybody playing the game using a Kyro II based graphics card? If so, what drivers are you using? I've got a Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64 mb Kyro II card, and the game is stuttery, stop/start (although the graphics look great).
I've tried changing all the settings on the graphics (both in-game and on the graphics card), and have tried using 14.28 and 15.084 Power VR drivers, but no luck.
Also changed mobo drivers.
I've now re-installed the original drivers that came with the card (can't remember the version), with a little improvement. Can anyone help?

Jonah, have you searched on hercules.com site?
64 MB card should be going at 100 MPH :;):

Shailesh,
Yep, I've checked out the Hercules site and forums, (as well as other sites regarding Kyro etc) . As far as I can tell, the 15.84 drivers are the latest, but give me the most problems. Other games, (FIFA, Colin McRae 2.0, GP3) run fine, but for some reason c2002 is giving me hassle.
C2002 is supposed to support Kyro II based cards, so I'm putting it down to a problem with my PC....

Try dropping ur in game graphics to mid setting, and 800 X 600, or, take off shadows. It fastened the game up for me.

change the resolution to 640 X 480.. ???

I had the same problem... Trying reducing the graohics from trilinear to point. Also off the fullscreen antialiasing.

Thanks guys, but I've tried all of the above. Think I'll contact the place where I bought the card from.....
