To Russia via...

Wow another brilliant writing from you Jaz . I am loving this story and good luck with your career .

How does it matter anyways. He did offer you the ride, remember?

Besides its the Russians people are usually scared of.

He didn't really offer the ride, more he threw me into the van and drove me there. Anyways i'm enjoying writing this story loads and it's really fun to write.

There will probably be one or 2 more updates today. :)

I walked in, as nervous as I was when I approached Lennie in the street all that time ago. Seemed like months but it was probably only weeks. I opened the large wooden door and hoped for the best... Wow! My first impressions were ones that reminded me of Russia - was it a brothel? I looked to the right and saw a jukebox and a few tables with some drunken people singing and having a laugh. I looked to the right and saw a massive swordfish on the wall, framed. I looked around but couldn't see Lennie; I could definitely hear him though.

I saw a bar, with a big muscularly figure behind it. He had blonde hair in a weird fashion. I walked up to the bar, hands in my pockets acting cool. I thought that if I act cool and try and look as confident as the rest then I might be able to pass as one of them and find out what they've done to my friend and where he is. Here goes, operation undercover.

"He's through the back, through that door."

How did he know? I made my way to the door but couldn't help but overhear him murmur under his breath "Foreigners, their all the same..." He must of guessed. Anyway, I made my way to the door and placed my hand on the handle. This was an old door, I could tell by the handle. And by the label that it seemed they didn't have taken off... I couldn't read what it said though and as I can read German, we are definitely no in Germany. I tightened my grip on the door and opened it.

I was not ready for what I was about to see though as I saw Lennie up on a table dancing to Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams. I stood and looked around before looking back and Lennie when I saw him starting to take his top off. All the men were gathered around the table and were hitting glass bottles at the table forcing him to dance. This wasn't going well. I looked to my left and saw an old man in a black cape sitting down.

"Who are you?"
"They call me Strider but that's not important. Are you frightened?"
"What?! Well yeah but..."
"Not as frightened as you should be. I know what hunts you..."
"Yeah enough with this freak talk. Can you help my friend?"
"Afbrydelse!"

I don't know what he said but it seemed to do the trick. Everyone stopped banging their beer bottles against the table and just sat down and started talking amongst themselves. Magical. Unfortunately it didn't stop Lennie who was still dancing on the table this time to a foreign version of I've got you babe by Sonny & Cher. I turned back around, ready to thank our newest unusual friend, but he'd gone.

Who was he?

Wow good update there . I am loving this story . Dont have words to express the quality of this story so far . :happy :hpraise :clap It just brilliant

Top story mate! I love this and the storyline is just class! Top work Jazzeh boy!

We scurried quickly from the tavern as ,with the mysterious man not being there, the foreign rabble started going back to their usual selves which didn't involve staying quiet and being obedient. As we went through the final door, leading back out to the beach I saw Lennie bring his arm up to his chest and clench his upper chest. It didn't look good and didn't look any better when I saw his face, depressed and sober. He looked in immense pain...

"Lennie, are you alright?"
*No response"
"Lennie?! Lennie!"

As I opened the door I ran into the mysterious figure from earlier. I started shouting at him, ordering and pleading for him to help my friend. His face showed no emotion and he didn't even look at Lennie, falling down in pain. I looked back up at him expecting to see emotion but there was none.

"Aren't you going to try and help?! I think my friends having a heart attack!"

There was no reply. He then closed his eyes and raised his right hand. I am sure I will never forget what then happened... he punched Lennie! Lennie coughed up blood straight away and I thought that he had killed Lennie! I got up and attacked the old man. I was just about to strike what would be the fatal blow when I hear Lennie talk in the background. Struggling to say every word made it hard to hear him but I did.

"James, leave him. He's *gulps* cured me?"

I threw the old man to the floor, turned back towards Lennie and saw that he was now standing and looked as good as normal, bar for the blood covered shirt and dry mouth, but apart from that he looked great. I heard some pebbles and sand then shuffle behind me, the old man! I saw him running, running very fast until he just stopped. Me and Lennie just stood there awaiting for him to drop dead or to turn around and say something. He sure did one of them.

"Hasta la vista."

Hasta la vista? How many languages can he speak? Lennie whispered in my ear that there was a Film called The Terminator where a guy played by Arnold Schwarzenger says that all the time. He also said that earlier that day he had said a quote from Lord of the Rings to him as well. Right so there I was. With the strangest hippy you will ever meet, or never meet in your lucky case, who was on the edge of life 24/7 and a runaway foreigner who could speak many languages and who turned out to be a film fanatic? Fantastic.

We started running in the direction that the old man went, he seemed to know the surroundings and with him being able to stop everyone in the tavern, it seemed he had some authority or responsibility around these parts. Going off into the sunset once again, this time running. Oh how active is my life these days?

Wow.. I'm still not sure where you are but I love this story. I wonder who the mysterious man is!

Great few updates. Some brilliant storylines and very unpredictable. Looking forward to seeing where this leads.
