Jayasuriya suddenly decided to perform and I was missing Mathews. Gambhir and Muralitharan, so I couldn't come on top.

Why wasn't Muralitharan not playing? Was he injured?

Yes he was injured in first two matches but he was fit in final but sangakkara didn't bother to have him in side so you can say he rested him in last match.
