The shocking thing was that I was in the terminal building when it happened. I was waiting for my aunty to come back from Islamabad to Manchester on PIA. I looked up at the FIAS and saw that the scheduled time had been changed from 14:25 to 15:10. I then saw the two Thompson flights in front of the PIA flight had been diverted to Liverpool. I rushed to the Information kiosk and asked if the PIA flight would be diverted aswell. They said it was held in a holding pattern and would land approximately at 15:20. After what seemed like an age, the status for the PIA flight changed from "Due at" to "Landed"

Regarding this incident, it could have been much worse.. but thank god there were no injuries.
