When I download .zip's, or .rar's, well I try to extract them to a particular folder there is always and error and that error is always the crc being damaged. However, for other people, the .zip or .rar will not be corrupt. I was just wondering if there was any solution to this, as it means most of the files extracted will not work.

Hope someone can help, oh and here is a screenshot ;) : (I had to take two screenshots to get all the error message in, so just read from the end of 1 to the start of 2. Thanks.

btw is says something about the password, but the password is definitely right, and this problem happens with things that aren't password-protected.

Really like to know the answer to this, any thoughts?

I have seen some people having such a problem, all I can say is that try re-installing Winrar or try a different program.

Tried both of those options but they did not work. Thanks a lot for the help though. Anybody got any other solutions?

try using 7zip it is a frely available program, google for the link.
are you using the latest version of winzip? some archives zipped in newer versions refuse to open with older ones...

No I use firefox;), and I tried 7zip but no luck. Thanks for the help anyway everyone.

This problem is really frustrating me now, I can find no solution, nearly all downloads are corrupt. It has extended to all downloads, not just .zip and .rar's, so I would really appreciate some help, whether it be how to download through ftp or another idea. Please help.

mate, have you thoroughly scanned your PC for any malware???
It could be some virus or spyware wreaking havoc on your machine...

What software is best for that?

Trouble is, I can't download them because they are corrupt when I download them. That is why this problem is so frustrating.

oops.. ya.. thats a prob... have you tried using both firefox and i/e ?

are you using any download manager. that may also be a problem..
