I am using Ravi's great patch 12 but am continually frustrated at stupid runouts, how can I use Sam's no runout patch as well ie what folder do I have each patch in and presumably I still enter the game through Ravi's patch?
Any help appreciated

Sam's no runout patch is simply an edited exe, just replace the normal Cricket2004.exe with his- Ravi's patch edits the .gob file, they're not related at all

Sorry but i'm not sure i'm getting all this right. Currently on the desktop I have Ravi's v12 patch and Sam's no runout patch. I understand they are not related as you explained previously but are they used concurrently or do i use the "no runout patch" when I'm bowling and V12 when batting. In other words do I get the benefit of both regardless of which one i enter the game with or do I have to change patches when I change from fielding to batting. I'm sorry but I can't seem to find how exactly to use these patches IE where to put each one by searching the forum

You use ravi's patch at all times (the gob file).

Its the exe's that run the game that changes. You need 2 - the first one is sam's exe that fixed the line up bug (released a few months back). The second exe is his recently released run out exe fix.

Therefore you need shortcuts to these 2 exe's on your desktop.
Use the run out fix exe when bowling and the line up fix exe when batting.

Thankyou very much I am finally getting all this sorted out, just one last(I hope) thing, where should Ravi's patch be, at the moment I have it in the same folder as the original gob(what does that stand for?) file and a shortcut on the desktop. Is this right or does it have to be installed using someother method?
Cheers

For Ravi's patch you have to run the installer and it will permanently install the patch on your gob file, you don't need any shortcuts or anything- you run the installer and then don't worry about it

On the same note can "Sam's Run Out Exe" &
"Sam's Crusor On Exe" be loaded and running at the same time?

Hi again, Thanks to all for help so far however I have another question.
I am using Ravi's ODI patch, which incidentally is excellent, I also use Sam's cursor patch, no problem with that and when I bowl use Sam's no runout patch, pretty happy with that too, however when I bowl first, get my opponents out, save the game and then go to use Sam's patch that allows for changed lineups I get the old default lineup problem. Now I guess this makes sence since I saved the game using the "no runout patch which obviously does not have (nor claims to have as far as I can see) the allowance to save changed lineups. Is there a way around this or am I missing something basic. In easy terms can I use the "no runouts " and "change the lineup" patches (both Sam's)SUCESSFULLY during the same game.

There is only one workaround for this mate, use only exhibition matches and set up the game you would want to play. Make sure you use lineup editor to set the default teams to the ones you wish for both yourself and your opponent. You will be able to get over with the line up issue although you may not be able to play a tourney. Even otherwise you can set up all the matches using the exhibition match settings anyway. Either way it is better off playing using the exhibition match as the CPU makes some really crazy selections.

Thanks for your reply I understand what to do. Thankgoodness for people like yourself in particular and Sam and all the other guys making patches out there. Am looking forward to your test patch.
