I felt we conceded a little more than what we would've expected early on. As I said Ashwin's wicket would be crucial early in the day and unfortunately we failed to dismiss him. But I think we were too good to get out others in that line-up amongst the tail-enders.
As for my batting, I felt pretty nice out there in the middle with bright sunshine and a good batting strip on offer and was nice to get some boundaries early in my innings. The best thing I did was the off-stump awareness I had throughout my innings. Being a reserve opener in the side it feels so good to have runs under my belt and certainly did a lot good to my confidence.
I believe Parth was our best bowler throughout the innings but I really feel like praising our star spinner @Joey Tribbiani who bowled his heart out by bowling those overs back to back. Bowling out 27 overs is no joke even for a spinner. Mate did you get something to eat ? How did you manage to bowl those many overs?
Lastly special praise for DK who got us important 64 runs who always contributes with the bat for us and I've heard that he contributes for the players at the bar, that's so nice of him

We did well to clean up the tail

Well, I had a balanced game. Wish I could have touched 50 to just make sure I get more confidence but the opposition was good. Still, we have a good batting depth which will help us touch the 400 mark I hope.

We need more than 200 runs in close to 3 sessions and wreck the top order of the opposition by tonight if we are to win this one.
Parth & Manish were the only positives from bowling point of view . Shah-Andrin 100-run opening partnership surely would've built their confidence . Then , the TN's duo spinners triggered a 3 wicket falldown . These two bowlers would remain a threat going into the third day's play . The lower middle order would have a nice heavy practice with Aswin & Venkat . Still a long way to go for our batsmen ....

That Vaman Kumar over really broke our team's back. We probably didn't capitalise on our start. Losing 3 wickets in quick succession the previous day and 2 wickets this day really pushed us behind in the match. Just need to see what target we are getting tomorrow and whether we play out a draw if the target is out of reach. Anything under 300 and we have a good chance but anything over that we just need to bat out.
