<span style='color:#000000:post_uid1'>At the end of Day 3, West Indies were 457/4 from 129 Overs. Sarwan (112) and Lara (104*) were the century makers.
"685/3 is a big total to chase," the West Indian skipper said. "We only have two days left so our target for tomorrow is 486. Shiv is playing aggresively today so maybe we will play on to 140 overs so he can register yet another fiine performance. I'm quite disappointed because I couldn't get in, at all, but overall we have accomplished another day's work."

West Indies declared on 490/5 after batting 138.2 overs. Lara (113*), Sarwan (112) and Chanderpaul (89) were the top scorers.
Carl Hooper commented after a shocking decision to declare so early. "We are trying to leave every possibility of a non-tied result, coming in our favour. The next two sessions are vital - we need wickets. We never actually planned to wipe out the defecit. Our bowlers let them score too much too quickly in the first innings and for that they will have to sacrifice every bit of energy into each ball they bowl in the second."
"Shiv's dismissal was unlucky and I felt sorry for him after playing such wonderful cricket."

There is a minimum 155 overs left in the match and the West Indies are still 195 runs behind. Drakes and Dillon will be looking to get back at the England top order and pull of an unlikely win over the makers of this game.

Match Status:

**Chanderpaul's 89 was very intriguing as this Guyanese batsman normally takes it slow at the crease. But it kind of reminds me of his 13 of the 14 runs needed off the last over vs. New Zealand off D.Tuffey. But that was an ODI, this is test cricket. :;):
