What is harder? Opening or batting in the Middle Order

if you're talking about club cricket then yes opening is harder with that red king swinging around it makes it very difficult to score runs, and you dont really want to be out for a low score aswell as you would have to sit there for along time :sarcasm

but for international cricket playing in the middle order (odi's/t20) is much harder as they have to score quicker with the old and slow ball.
 
It all depends upon conditions. Openers have the harder job in England, South Africa and New zealand and middle order batsmen find life tougher in Sub continental conditions.
 
If you have an innings then the openers will bat, the same can't be said of anyone else. By the very definition, the opening batsmen are the ones who have to do the most work. They're also the ones that must discover the conditions. Before a team gets to 4/50, there must have been openers who struggled. That's the definite advantage that middle order batsmen get: they get a warning.
 
i probably think opening is harder...as the ball is new and swings well..:yes;)
