Where is the magic of murali and mendis?

I war surprised at the Ease murali and mendis were handled by indian batsmen. No,i am not talking bout sehwag or yuvraj. I was surprised how easily praveen kumar and zaheer played them. The freakish duo managed only 1 wicket in two matches at their home soil. Mendis miracle has been wicketless and genius of murali earned a single wicket in 2 matches.

Lol, Mendis can't maintain an average of 10 in every match, Gaurav. He's human as well. As for Murali, he bowled brilliantly today and was unfortunate not to get a wicket.

Looking at those stats, Murali might have been wicket less but he kept it tight which is always important where as Mendis went for a few more runs but took 2 wickets. Pretty smart combo really.

What a stupid thread! Failing/performing in one/two matches doesn't make a good player a bad player or a bad player a good player. Mendis is not a superhuman that he will perform in every match, no player can, even Sir Don couldn't.

Lol! Not at all. But that was a good six by Yuvi, straight over the bowler's head, beautiful to watch. But nothing compared to the six that the umpire hit Yuvi for!

Mendis only got 2 tailenders out. They're good, but nothing teams won;t be able to handle like any other tquality spinners after a few games.

I meant that there isnt any surprise element left in mendis. Teams have sorted him out. Now his real test begins. Someone named irfan pathan had similar start to his career.He took 100wickets in 56 matches but now is just a normal bowler. So it is not very hard to make a spectacular debut season, what's tough is to carry on same form in subsequent seasons when other teams hav tons of ur videos and plans against u.
