 Has anyone had problems downloading my HOMEBAT,AWAYBAT and amb WAVs.
I just tested the links out to see if they were all available but got the message HTTP 403 (forbidden) every time.
Is this because I have the files on my computer..
Post your views if you have been successful or not and if you like the stereo sound.
Thanks.
P.S. I've now remixed the runin WAVs to stereo B) Have emailed Vineet ...waiting for the O.K.

I d/l AWAYBAT and AMB fine, but got the 'corrupt file' message when I d/l HOMEBAT on Sunday. I haven't tried again until I know it's been fixed, coz I'm only a 56ker :( .
I like the new sound though Steve; much clearer and more defined  ... I like the ripple of applause when the away team scores runs.
Have you any suggestions about this; when India/Pak play in England, or England play overseas (barmy army), the 'away' crowd is much more vociferous. Any ideas? I d/l an Indian crowd sound once, but can't remember where from...

:D glad you like the new sounds ...about your ideas of the vociferous crowds, an idea would be to experiment swapping a few WAVs over in the HOMEBAT and AWAYBAT folders.

Back the files up ..I do it by adding a character at the end of a file (any of these for example ~@#=)copy the files you are going to use then swap a few sounds over and play a match ..you can use autoplay to fast forward the game to test out the sounds from different home /away team innings.
When you are satisfied settle back and play a full Test or one day game.

Sorry if this all sounds very obvious  but just trying to make suggestions.

As for the India crowd sounds There are plenty on the old B.Lara game I might be able to remix into stereo ;D: if I can accesss the WAVs from the CD.
P.S. this is probably all illegal B) what we are doing isn't it ... what do others think about the chances of being sued for copyright or are we pretty safe?

As long as you don't distribute the whole game (which obviously is illegal) or gain commercial profit from any addons or modifications you make to a game (unless you have licensed the game rights) and dont tamper with copyright screens you're safe :)

On the contrary game developers are now actively supporting modding in most new games since it extends the life and playability of their products as illustrated most succinctly by Halflife and its mods.

Adding sounds from BLC sounds interesting; hope you can do it :) ...
btw is the homebat download fixed yet?

Excellent; I'll try another d/l tomorrow...

The file should be ok now. A few people who've downloaded recently haven't had any problems with it. However if you do have trouble I'll look into it again.

I've put a vociferous  Indian crowd WAV ...of the type that jonah requested on my post 'Channel 4 videoscreen'
If anyone is interested I'll make a few more.
