After installing Windows 7, make sure you install all the recommended Windows updates that are provided to you by Microsoft. Microsoft most often provides the new drivers for most wireless cards and a small Windows update and a restart should ensure that your wireless card starts working.
If not, go to the site of your wireless card manufacturer and see if they have any updates of the latest drivers? Whats the brand of your your wireless card?

Most of the programs installed on XP dont work on Win 7, and vice versa. Try running some programs to see if they work. If they dont, re-install them on Windows 7. Thats why Windows 7 installation took close to 4 hours for me with all the software installation, etc. But ITS WORTH IT coz of Windows 7!!!
I had the same problem with my wireless card which I've managed to overcome. Basically if it's not digitally signed and the developers haven't paid money to Microsoft it won't work properly. You can either hit F8 every time you boot and override it or do what I've just done and do this.
Windows 7 x64 also screwed around with my refresh rate so much so that I couldn't install the system on my VGA and had to borrow a digital monitor. Anyhow after many trials and tribulations my new system is working.

If it is a dll file just google it and put it in the missing location. I got most of the games I installed on XP to work for Vista without reinstalling it.

No, I don't think I'll do that. Getting .dll files off the internet is something I've been told to avoid like the plague.

I checked the link, but I didn't see anything about the x32 version of Win 7 - which is the one I have.
So, let's get this straight. If the drivers are not digitally signed, you can't use something?? Bloody Microsoft! OK, which companies' WiFi adapters are digitally signed by Microsoft? I'm having problems switching to WPA with this one in any case and I am sure it's the adaptor that's at fault.

A game that steadfastly refused to work with Win XP works like a treat with Win 7! It's very old, too: Kingpin - Life of Crime. I picked it up for ?1 a while back as I never played it first time round, but it didn't work on XP. Then today, the idea to try it on Win 7 popped into my mind and blow me down if it didn't work! Maybe Win 7 is good with backward compatibility...

Same here. I have not had any compatibility issues with any programs so far, and so I am not tempted to try it out.

I ran Windows XP mode and its pretty decent. Just like any other virtual PC software... although I think you need a certain technology in your processor.
Last day to download the RC tester, by the way.

How? Too late to get it?
You need to be an IT professional to downkoad the RTM version atm. But you can still get the RC free till march.
You could download the RTM version without a paid subscription if you know how though.
