Windows 8

I think that looks rather stupid tbh. I agree, the current one works just fine.

Looks so complicated too, got buttons all over the place. For veteran users of Windows most of the things they show in the ribbon are down with the right click button or shortcut keys we have memorized.

Does look a bit complicated, but I'm sure people will get used to it. I find the office ribbon much easier to use than the traditional menu. It is so much easier to find things on the ribbon because you are able to look at everything at one go, categorically grouped.
That said, I'm quite happy with windows 7 at the moment, and unless they are implementing a new base, I'll stick to it for some time.

I like the office ribbon as well but I'd much rather they keep it there in Office rather than bringing to my folders. I would never use the buttons for cut or copy since I just use the keyboard shortcuts. But like Abhas said, people will get used to it.

It definitely would be more suited towards those that have never used Windows before or just don't know the shortcuts or usually go into the file menu to find buttons like select all.

Yes it does, and it's also far too soon; Windows 7 hasn't exactly been around that long yet.

And the time in between these updates won't be close to those between previous updates of windows.

The icons havnt been built yet. They are just a dummy default set being used for all the things. They would obviously be replaced with relevant icons.

I like what I have now much better than this ribbon system thingy.... the ribbon thingy looks bad and a bit confusing to me too tbh...Isn't that ribbon system from MS Office?
