Windows classic theme and BLIC crash

Having a strange problem, using the normal windows xp theme and playing BLIC works fine, but when i change the theme to Windows classic or disable the theme services, i get the evil 1-ball crash problem.

I don't understand how changing the theme can cause the game to crash, but i noticed that some people are running the game using the classic theme, so could people shed some light on this matter, thanks in advance.

strange, why not just keep the XP theme, Personally I like XP theme the better.

Odd problem, I run with all the fancy XP graphics turned off and dont have a problem have you tried different resolutions/colour settings?
