Surprised it hasn't been done before. You don't only have to pick X1 players, but also get the balance right. so a 4 spinners only att is well not quite right. Every team has atleast 2 seamers in any case.

Lots of Indians there but then they did have a stellar tournament, except the finals. There was no keeper that really stood out for me, so MSD is the one I went for. Lots of spinners to pick from so I went for ones that went to the semis atleast. Herath misses out because even though he was great against Kiwis, he really only performed that one match.

Some very good picks and some very stupid controversial ones.

While not many would want to see Rohit Sharma in the side, I thought he did quite well, just enough to be in the XI. I would not have picked Dhoni in the side, forget about making him the skipper. I can hear people asking who for the skippers' role then? I would say slinga Malinga! Yes, I thought he was very thoughtful and involving with the team so yes, it should be him. Another man I am surprised to see is Ashwin, he had great last couple of matches but apart from that, it was Mishra who led the Indian attack, wasn't he? I think Mishra deserves the place there and not Ashwin. Lastly, I would draft Umar Akmal in the side (Gosh! he was in such great touch in the tournament. I cannot believe he has been left out) and may be he will don the gloves as well. Shakib is another guy I would have in the side as he did a great job both with bat and ball.
