So, who do you think is the worst fielder in the modern game? This could be more of a light-hearted topic but I would like to see peoples opinions.

Here are some candidates: Murali, Peter Fulton, Chris Tremlett, Kamran Akmal (:p)

I think McGrath was a pretty good fielder, especialy with that catch at Adelaide in 02/03. Detiroated a bit though.

Well, I would say Geraint Jones since being a wicketkeeper requires to him to get the basics right at least.

Fulton is usually not that bad, just had a shocking series.

Chris Martin, as well as being poor with the bat, is a bit of a clown in the field at times. He's improved though. Murili is probably the worst going around.

Murali is ok but has a very poor throw. Fulton this series looked very stiff and immobile like Tremlett.

I know we all love him but Monty is still up there.

JamseyJames3 is appalling at fielding; He lets everything through and drops anything in the air. :p

Not after today's performance. :)

Wouldn't it be much easier to say most Asian internationals train harder on batting and bowling, and for that there fielding takes a hit and is bad.

Most of the Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka.

Not entirely true. India have many good slip fielders.

Yuvraj Singh is up there with the best as well. Kaif is very athletic as well. As for Sri Lanka, well they are on the whole, a very athletic side.

Do not forget Suresh Raina who is also up there slightly better than Kaif.

I think its more about attitude than athletism. But some of the players do look awkward while fielding and its kind of everywhere, not just Asian teams.

Tait must be borderline. The CB Series has shown that he can't catch, can't slide and takes 2 hours to get a throw from the boundary onto the wicket.
