XP Fix in Win2000 ... Doesnt go ahead after TOSS - Game crashes/doesno

I have installed the Cracked Bazz XP Fix file in my
BLC 99 which is installed in Windows 2000 pro
The Game start fine ... I can hear the Music as well
but the game doesnot respond after the TOSS... The
Umpires just keep swinging their Legs ... No Error messages
either ...

Tried disabling music,commentry and sound ... still no
solution. After a long time I felt that I could finally
run BLC on Win2000 but dissappoinment ...

Could anyone help me find a solution for this ...

My Graphics card is RivaTNT and I am using detonator
drivers 30.XX. My DirectX version is 8.0a...

I read your post and carried out the instructions as you said but still it hangs ...
This does not seem like its a sound problem as I can listen to the background music as well when the game loads...

Any idea what should be done ....?

The fix to get beyond the toss screen is to lower your DirectX sound acceleration settings.

To do this got to the DirectX applet in your control panel (if you don't have a DirectX icon run dxdiag from a command line).

Once running select the sound tag and change the acceleration slider from full to none. Now you will be able to get past the toss. I know this works as I have/had the same problem. You might want to change the setting back for other games.

This should belong in the FAQ - it is mentioned in the equivalent post on my forum.
