Story Zimbabwe - A Struggle [ICC 2005]

Sorry for the slight delay

Day 2

Pakistan under Gary Pleavin are well and truly onto grreat things. Making 536 on a difficult batting pitch where 3 people made centuries (Bin-Nasir, Wasti and Misbah Ul-Haq). Umar chipped in with 94. The bowling was sensational where Smith and Lara are both out and at one point were 1-2. it would have been 7-3 if Misbah would have held on to the catch.

Managers Thoughts:
WOW!! Two great days in Pakistani cricket has occured. Theres nothing much to say but with Bin-Nasir, Wasti, Misbah, Farhat and Younis are team is very special.

Brilliant stuff by Bin Nasir and Wasti. Come on you can win this mate

Day 3

Well Pakistan bowled brilliantly today but they will feel like they've lost a opportunnity to put pressure on the Calypso Kings by taking 3 or 4 wkts in their second innings but Smith and Lara stood tall. Pakistan are still in a wondrous position.

Managers thoughts:

Mixed feelings at the end of the day. Happy beacuse bowling Windies out for below 200 isn't a easy task, but their is anagging feeling in the back of my head that Lara might do something special. We'll all see what happens tomorrow

AWWFFUUUULLL NEWS!!!!!!

I've accidently saved over my Pakistan game with a new England game and theirs no way of getting my save back. I'm very sorry but it seems as this is the end of the diary

isnt salman butt, rava naved, and the current pakistani players in this game??

PLEAVIN TAKES OVER ZIMBABWE

Well Pleavin has took over the mighty Zimbabwe and feels that he can go places

Targets for the season

Win one series
Take over Bangladesh in the ranking system
Find a blend of youth and experience in the team

The first series is New Zealand at Home-Two Test matches

1st Test Match
New Zealand 247 (McMillan-58 Hondo 4-80)and 473-5 dec (Richardson 125 Streak 2-80)

defeated

Zimbabwe 78 (Carlisle-14 O'brien 4-18) and 103 (Vermuelen-49 and Tuffey 4-43)

Managers Thoughts:
Well Well Well, I have realised the challenge ahead. We just couldn't cope with the brilliance of New Zealand's batting and bowling. Our batting was atroucious and the only bright spark was Hondo's 4-80. Room for Improvement.

Zimbabwe vs New Zealand-2nd Test (0-1)

New Zealand 485 (Oram 225 Price 4-118) and 38-4 (Oram 18* Rainsford 3-8)

drew with

Zimbabwe 355 (Mutyambizi 106 O'brien 5-100)

Managers Thoughts:

I'm very pleased with both Batting and bowling in this match. Mutyambizi, Rainsford and Price shined. The MAN OF THE MATCH went to Jacob Oram for obvious reasons. Getting New Zealand 38-4 is a incredible achievement. Well played.

Ray Price picked up 4 wickets in New Zealands first innings
