Zimbabwe not to Tour England in 2009??

The font and the box thinggi is so annoying, not allowing me to read the whole thing.

To be Honest i think that we should tour at the moment we are just ruining Zimbabwe and their standards of Cricket when Cricket is what they have to get away from the Politcal Debacle going on in Zimbabwe.

I think its fine if they tour other countries and agreed that it is dangerous to tour Zimbabwe

The title says 'Sri Lanka not to Tour England in 2009??'

well i never think politics and sport should mix but this is obviously a difficult situation if the tour is cancelled, insted of the 2 tests and 3 ODIS against zim, england would replace these with a 2 test series agains bangladesh and have a 6th test in the ashes that summer, australia have already asked about the possibility of a 6th test and this could fit it in

Wouldn't be a huge loss for England anyway. It seems when Zimbabwe play any team other than Bangladesh, losing is a formality. Plus, the political situation is completely unstable.

But surely if they come to the UK then politics in there country has nothing to do with it??

Yeah, it wont be a groundbreaking series. Not big news:p

It isn't restricted to Zimbabwe. The people obviously aren't happy with the regime and the fragility of the Zimbabwean cricket team and the fact that they struggle to ind a consistent squad of players shows the turmoil Zimbabwe is in.

Yeah but it does mean the ECB has to play alot of money which could be used on grass roots cricket. To be honest its either them or Bangldesh somebody has to come before you convies

Isn't ICC helping Zimbabwe or som'hing?

Probably not at all just shunting them to one side.

This is an article from the BBC website, you should post a link and not quote the entire article in your post.

Lets get them over here, theres no danger in them touring so why should we take away the chance for a few cricketers to show off their skills and get countys interested, and allow England a few easy rankings points and find their form ahead of regianing the ashes from Australia.
