Just figured I'd copy every other thread around.

Watch out for...

Herschelle Gibbs: With one run from two games, including a first-ball duck, you know there's a big innings around the corner. Fortunately, Cobras haven't really missed his presence so far. He will be expected to retain his place at the top.

Andrew McDonald: The slow-medium bowler is currently the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with eight wickets at a miserly economy rate of 5.50. Against Bangalore, he maintained a tight line and bowled his sly off-cutters to keep the batsmen in check. More importantly, he got the crucial wicket of crowd favourite Ross Taylor very early in his innings.

Justin Ontong: Puttick may have hogged the headlines against Otago with his century but Ontong's assault in that same match was by no means inferior. He cleared his back lag and biffed four sixes in his 14-ball 39. It will be interesting to see if he can get on top of Victoria's accurate seam attack.

Cheers Cricinfo.

An U22 cricketer was arrested, seems like we might have a hefty delay on our hands.

Whats the bet Modi will now cancel the tournament, thus keeping the prize money for the IPL.
"Delhi Daredevils/Royal Challengers Bangalore/Deccan Chargers deserve it more! They are much better teams, even if one of our multi-million dollar franchises was beaten by a team sponsored by eggs!"

3.45pm The match will begin at 5pm India time. The teams haven't even left their hotel yet, so we might have a truncated game if the second match of the day is to start on schedule. There are already some fans at the ground, waiting for the game to start, but they should know by now what the reason is for the hold-up.

That's 10:30 PM AEST btw

Wouldn't hold my breath, reckon they'll leave.

Thankfully my cousin is in Hyderabad. If the explosives aren't found doubt the matches will go ahead. Hope this tournament as a whole isn't canceled otherwise the terrorists have another small victory.

5.00pm Play will start at 5.40, and it will be a 17 overs-a-side game, the Powerplays will be five overs.

Great, more waiting.

On the bright side, seems we've avoided another subcricket incident.

Update: The guy arrested has been released. Seems a false alarm.

0-2. Hodge and Quiney out for nought in the space of 3 deliveries. Not bad aye'?

17 over match to be played apiece. Vics' are screwed.

Seems like it has been tough to score out there, hard to tell what is going to be a good total, especially with the shortened game. I guess 130 would be like a 150 score in a full game.

angryangy added 8 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

They'll have to bowl well.

White has been poor this tournament, after what he did for Australia I expected him to really fire this tournament. He probably should move to 3 where he was so successful for Australia. Harwood has been off his game since the 2nd round started. Holland is still a bit inconsistent but that is to be expected being a youngsters.
