Mongrel and Dennison win session

The fall of Martin in the first over to another good ball from Davies had the Giraffes looking in trouble, but this was instead the start of a very promision Mongrel-Dennison partnership. Without looking as if they were going to get out, the pair lifted the rate enough to give the Giraffes a healthy score of 1/100 from the session, 3/176 overall.

Shot of the session: Mongrel padded this ball away brilliantly for four legbyes
Ball of the session: The only wicket, Martin, falls to another one of Davies' straight balls

Dennison brings up 100 amidst colapse

Jack Dennison was the shining light of the session, with all others around him falling like Darren Lehmann on a loose floorboard. While Ahmed, Tahir and Moore were able to face a few balls out, they weren't able to put a great deal of runs up on the board, Moore still being unbeaten at stumps. Dennison, needing 20 off the last 5 overs, decided to go for it while his eye was in and reached it with two overs to go, picking up the hundred off a well struck three to square leg.

Shot of the session: The one that brought Dennison's century up
Ball of the session: Hamilton's yorker which straightened and struck Ahmed plumb in front of the stumps

Durham start well after Giraffes collapse

The Giraffes have collapsed terribly at the start of the second day, losing trump card Jack Dennison for only 7 more runs from the day before. Harmison was the man who sparked it, dismissing Moore and Hemlani in quick time.

Durham got off to a steady start after losing Michael Hussey in the first over to a very accurate Balaji short ball. Peng and Benkenstien both unbeaten on about 40 runs apiece.

Durham are 1/85, trailing by 220 runs on after the first session of the second day. The Giraffes will be looking to get a breakthrough soon or they will be well behind the 8-ball.

Shot of the Session: I liked this block from Woolf. No runs were scored, but I liked it.
Ball of the Session: Hussey's edge through to Ahmed off the third ball of Ramesh's over.

Moore rips through Durham

Led by an inspired Steve Moore, the Giraffes have come back from their woeful fourth session by taking control of the game with a session that produced figures of 5/114. Moore picked up three while Hemlani and Bilal picked up one each. Durham's last chance of a decent score looks to be in the hands of Paul Collingwood, who is unbeaten on 15 off 42.

Durham are now 6/199, trailing by 106.

Shot of the Session: They were all poo. Not worth showing.
Ball of the Session: A healthy little edge off the bat of Coetzer went to the miraculously diving Ahmed, giving Moore his second wicket.

Balaji nabs three while tail show resistance

The Durham tail have shown a bit of resistance, mainly through veteran all-rounder Gavin Hamilton who made a good 74*. Balaji was the pick of the bowlers this session, picking up two quick much-needed wickets.

Durham are now 9/291, trailing by 14.

Shot of the session was by Gavin Hamilton, a flick off the legs that raced to the boundary for four runs.
Ball of the session was Balaji's ball to Mustard that knocked middle stump out of the ground.

Also I'd like to add that anyone that wants to join can still feel free, just look at the first post and take one of the players on the list (look them up if you want).
