I guess Yusuf just sealed his spot for starting XI and Kohli too in this series. Raina would be the one who should go out. Yuvi is quite useful with the ball and on his day can win game single handedly with the bat.

Are there still any doubters whether Yusuf Pathan should play or not? Especially after his recent centuries.

Sachin needs to lift the cup when the finals take place in his homeground.

I am a bit skeptical about India. We should get through the first round, but thereafter begins the real fun.
Of late, we have won 'bilateral series', none of which can be called as 'do or die' matches. The quarters should test us. Given that each match is a must -win situation, will be interesting to see how we ware. I am betting that we would crash out in the semi-finals.

India need to be cautious regarding the World Cup. Even though, they'll be playing on flat pitches, but the South African defeat has exposed loopholes in the Indian lineup, particularly the middle order.

Starting XI for me :-

1.Gambhir
2.Sehwag
3.Sachin
(These three are interchangeable)
4.Kohli
5.Dhoni
6.Raina/Yuvraj
(The above three can interchange as per the situation)
7.Yusuf
8.Praveen
9.Harbhajan
10.Zaheer
11.Nehra

I'd prefer Raina over Yuvraj, but Yuvraj has done more with ball than with bat, so he could be a pivot at no.7 or 8, if our pacers fail.

I would not have Raina in the starting line-up. He hasn't shown much form of late. Yuvraj is a better option and is more than handy with the ball as well. Maybe Dhoni would experiment with the batting in the initial matches, but I more or less expect a same XI to take field every time.

Raina is a killer on Indian Pitches. I don't think India should drop him at any cost.

On current form, he needs to be dropped. If he ain't dropped, it will be aclear sign of CSK domination once again. Raina or someone else will have to make way for Yusuf Pathan. If you have to drop any player from the playing XI now, it would be Raina.

I am pretty happy that the world cup won't be telecast on Ten Cricket.

I agree with Sahil. Raina needs to be dropped. If Yuvi fails in the first couple of matches, Raina may get a place, but the chances of that a pretty rare as Yuvi is pretty good on SC pitches.

I am pretty happy that the world cup won't be telecast on Ten Cricket.

To the best of my knowledge, TEN has never won the rights to telecast cricket matches played in India and will never do so-cause ZEE has a 50% stake in it.

I am also happy that ESS will be doing the ICC events till 2015 as they tend to generally have a good team with good inputs. I am just hoping that Sanjay Manjrekar does not turn up to commentate at the World Cup with his cheap-a** hypo-critical comments.
