Planetcricket FC hit with Injury Woes​

Planetcricket FC today heard from their physio that their star players Hassan Tahir and Tobie Chapman are injured.

Tobie Chapman is going through treatment for a groin strain which he picked up during sprint practice. He will take 2 to 4 weeks to recover. Hassan Tahir is going through treatment for a strained ankle ligament and he will take 3 weeks to a month recovering.

In other news, The English League Cup draw has been completed. Planetcricket FC travel underhill to face Barnet.

Covlad's Match Preview​

Arsenal vs Planetcricket FC. Many would think that this is a definate mismatch. But Arsenal are dead last on the FA Premiership table and Planetcricket FC are full of confidence from their draw.

But Arsenal have no injuries in their squad while Planetcricket FC have their striker and their goalkeeper both injured.

So, what will both teams have to do to win this match?

Planetcricket FC ​

Be Aggressive - Arsenal have strong lads on their team. PC have to be aggressive on Henry and Van Persie. And the forwards have to aggressive aswell to get past the defenders.
Play with Pace - Arsenal are a team that play with Pace. And to cover that pace PC will need to fast paced football.
Possession - This is the most important thing in soccer. Whoever gets this usually wins the game.

Arsenal​

Tighten up the defense - Arsenal are pretty good at attacking, but if they can tighten the D than they will have more chances of winning.
Score Goals - Yeah, the reason they didn't win their last game.
Target Man - Get the Ball to Henry. It's that simple.

1st Half Highlights​

1st Minute - Andrew Rabeta got knocked out by Toure. He isn't moving. This does not look good. The staff come to carry him away. You can see the managers face, it doesn't look good for PC.

3rd Minute - Well, it has been decided that Rabeta can not continue, therefore Sarvesh Mali will take the striker's role. Mali has little match experience but he did score in the preseason. One can only hope that he attended the practices.

8th Minute - Here's Ager for Planetcricket. This is an amazing run, he's gotten pass Toure! Here's the cross! The flying header from Biswas brings a cheer from the crowd, but the ball has only hit the side netting. Biswas is standing with his hands on his hips, he must realize that was the perfect opportunity.

15th Minute - Lehmann's kick goes forward to Denilson. Denilson keeps the ball moving up, and creates a beautiful through ball to Hleb. Hleb has plenty of space on the left wing. Here's the low and hard cross! Rosicky with the volley!

GOAL! Fantastic Volley! Arsenal are 1 up already.

23rd Minute - Here's Eboue, who finds Helb whose run once again has created a chance, this time its for himself! Can he finish it?










GOAL! Helb makes no mistake! Planetcricket FC have a mountain to climb now!

41st Minute - Oh Dear me! Teague must be embarrassed! Excellent stuff from Henry! But a better save from Dunn which denies Henry the goal.

45th Minute - The Referee blows the whistle. It's half-time.

51st Minute - Here's Denilson. Oh no, the defence is just too slow for Arsenals pace, and Arsenal get Heb on a breakaway. Can he finish it?

Beautiful Save from Dunn, just tipped it over.

56th Minute - Thierry Henry makes his run forward, and finds himself in plenty of space. Can he finish? No! Good defending by Suren Ram as the ball is deflected, but the danger is still there. Ljunberg picks it up, and gets it past Zoraxis.

The shot though was poor and Dunn saved it.

63rd Minute- Arsenal look to change things around.

Fabrasgas (On) - Denilson (Off)
Walcott (On) - Van Persie (Off)

71st Minute - Here's Rosicky to Fabregas, onto Henry now. How much more can PC take in? Henry still has the ball, but he's tripped by Ager who looks to be in trouble.

The Referee shows the yellow card, no word from Ager, he knew it was coming.

83rd Minute - Rawlings made the amazing run from the half-line, and found Biswas. His shot though was a bit hurried and was off target.

90th Minute - Heres Henry, who finds the amazing pass to Fabregas! Dear me, he's not been marked. Fabregas in on goal!

Finished! PC could not hold on any longer, as the goal brings Arsenal up 3-0.

94th (Added-Time) - Theres the whistle. PC will be very happy that it is over.
