Maybe we should ask this Martin character to open the batting and drop Captain Lightening to 2 down. :p

Briggsey and Martyn see Derbyshire to the lead and to tea.

Day 2 2:30
Somerset v Derbyshire at Taunton

Somerset 123
Derbyshire 186

Derbyshire lead by 63 runs

Derbyshire dominated at times with the bat then struggled at others.
The side needs to really work on its batting order if it going to be a serious threat to this competition. We saw some great batting from former Yorkshire star Shaun Briggs as well as the english rising star Joe Martyn. Well on this green top 63 runs should be very handy lead for the visitors, with the only worry being if Somerset can post a total for Derbyshire to chase will there line up handle the pressure. It looks as though Buck Mack could get a call up for the four day games as well now as Luke Agarwal seems to be struggling with a thumb injury. Well the to Somerset batsman are making there way out to the middle so lets re join the action.
