Upper Cuts, Pulls, and Sweeps
l slam the bowlers for four
Now he hits a six!

I actually had the first real haiku a few pages ago

Don't know where you're getting your info on Haiku from but I can't recognise either as Haiku. Plus the money is all gone...

On a long and lonesome highway,
when i was walking throughout the day,
i did not seem to tire,

A traditional Haiku has a memorable form
One that engulfs you and makes you feel warm
It must have seventeen syllables when all are amounted
If if has less or more than it must be discounted
A Japanese verse will be fine if it's rated
But may then fall down when it gets translated
Seventeen syllables no more, in the English tongue
It's praises therefore, must be left unsung
Five, seven, five is the formula to write
Else you'll end up in a terrible plight
Posting a poem unwritten by you
Which isn't a Haiku in English too
