Everybody has got some virus in their computers. If you have ever experienced a dangerous virus post here. Post your antivirus along with the steps you took.

You really did not mean that did you??

And just to tell you.. Trojan horse is a generic name, and is almost synonymously used as a virus, it is not exactly a virus name.

Best advise when it comes to virus killing is google the name, you'll usually find a techie forum that'll tell you how to deal with it. Of course you will usually find loads of links for software that when you come to using it asks you to pay for the removal of the virus. Don't. There is always a free solution.

I usually tend to search in google, the registry and my computer... works most of the time... Cant rely on anti virus programs to remove and fix...

Its people like you kshitiz that sod up everyone else's computers. Glad you don't have my email address or msn address.

Lol! I never share files with anyone or any other contact. The only ever contact is an msn address. I am not the one you're thinking. :P

And when I say that I don't care, I mean I'm not one of those which can cry on seing a virus. Just so you know, I've avast antivirus, daily updated, running, Spybot Search and Destroy, also updated and scanned on alternate days. Add to that Zonealarm. I have ample protection that if my PC's infected atleast no one else's does. But I don't really care if a virus enters my system after surpassing all these protections, due to the above given reasons. When it enters, avast warns me, I try to repair it, and even delete it, but what I am saying is I can't be arsed to take up things in the registry and clean it up. I try so many freewares that sometime or the other a Virus or a Adware does enter my PC. After knowing the right one, It is I that spreads the word about them too. So If I go around here and suggest freewares, I make sure that they are clean. In a way I am preventing others. ;)

Now you might ask if I don't care then why so many softwares? Well, when I made my unattended Windows Installation, I injected them within. :p

I remember getting a nasty virus many years ago on my first ever pc, the virus actually disabled Norton completely, and it made it produce errors in every protection section. Took me a couple of hours to remove it using Norton's guide on their website. I forget the name of it though, but it was rated as very dangerous and infective etc.

Many antivirus sometimes destruct themselves because they are not able to fight against virus and other threats:P

Lol.. suicide :p

i'm trying my hardest to imagine an antivirus going into depression, and committing suicide just coz its not able to heal a virus

LMAO!!!
