Yes it's looking really good. First Fifa game I have been excited about in years.
Cannot wait for Sept 11th (?) when the demo is available

lol :p.

Seriously, they are real, here's the link from FIFA Soccer Blog:

About the videos, they PC version seems nowhere near the quality of the console versions (graphically and gameplay) but I still think it may well be the best PC football game available this year.

yeah, if they claim those videos to be real, then thats right. But, i'm gonne keep myself on a "hush hush" untill I see the demo on my desktop.

It does look good, my decision to switch back to Fifa this year might well be the right one. I really can't wait to be playing football in a real world with a proper league structure and real money in transfers!

One thing I'm a little concerned about is the amount of time they went on about mouse control. Now, this might well prove to be excellent for singleplayer games, but what if you want to play two player with someone and the mouse provides too much of an advantage? What I'm hoping the demo will prove is that there will be 360 degree control with the gamepad, as well as the mouse. There's no reason not to have it, that's what the analogue stick is for, surely? Otherwise we'd all be using the D-pad.

Also, it's a shame there isn't a way to make the Live Season mode just update player's form, that way you could also use it in the Management mode, which is the meat of the singleplayer game. I've noticed that they've nicked PES's way of showing a player's form, using different coloured arrows pointing in different directions. In Fifa 08, did a player's form change over a season in Manager mode, or did it stay the same all the way through?

I like the look of the PC version more than the next gen versions to be honest. The faces look better and the players aren't as shiny.

And the modders will no doubt sort out anything that we don't like.
Roll on Sept 11th.

Yeah, but it doesn't look like sweat at all imo. Players don't sweat that much.

To be fair, he was talkin about player models at t'time.

You're ragging at me for mentioning twice that I don't like the players looking like they've been playing water polo? You're the one who fills every post with hatred filled comments about how PES is so terribly bad and FIFA has unparalleled omnipotence when you know you're just gonna buy them both anyway.

He never said Fifa was that good he said it has its problems but compared to PES which is a rushed hulk of thrash with very bad graphics and limbs going through limbs etc. Fifa has gone through evolution, PES has gone through devolution(if thats even a word).

I never said that the shiny players effect the game. I'm still gonna buy it. The players are just shiny. That's all I said.
