Look on the bright side. Only Birmingham is wrse then Manchester
Not really, Manchester is the second city in this country after London.
Its got thousands of things to do, but you've gotta go find them. The Museum of Science and Industry sound way boring, but get in it and its a hell of a lot of fun, with actual old sewers, a 1800's railway station as well as interactive stuff.
I cannot believe it when people say they hate the UK, or England, because "there's nothing to do," because its obvious the attractions wont slap people in the face. You've gotta get up, search online, or read papers etc. to find these places.
The north alone has some of the best attractions in Europe, on the working front anyways, with lots of mines/mills/factories and railway stations that are open to the public to show how it was in past years (obviously people will think this is boring, but they simply aren't if you immerse yourself in the experience).
The south i'm not overly confident with but I know theres a lot of old car museums and lots of farms which are open. In Wales theres even a vineyard you can visit!
This is me typing, hung over, on a Saturday morning from my knowledge of Tourism (which i study

) so if people continually say, England has nothing to offer, i'll ram it back down thier throats and show just how much it has to offer.
USA is better for attractions, but they never travel out of the country so there needs to be! Ben & Jerrys ice cream factory day out is the best!
