hi guys,

After the Overdose of T20 in IPL, don't you think that it should have something for bowlers too? Well i do think so. We have introduced fielding restrictions, free hit, wide ball-noball restrictions and a lot of rules against the bowlers to improve ODI. We are trying to reduce bowlers to Bowling machines. Here are few sugesstions which can improve this condition.

1) Remove the No-Ball restriction from T20.

This works in both was. Only a exceptional bowler can bowl back to back accurate bouncers, and a good batsmen would still score runs of bouncers and mediocore struggle.

2) Remove the backfoot noball or increase the crease for backfoot noball.

This would introduce new angles in game. Balls would come at a sharper angles and we would see a more exciting contest(Ntini would go crazy if this happens)

3) Introduce Strike Out System of Baseball, that is ,if a batsmen doesnt touch 3 consecutive balls then he is out.

4) If no run is scored of three consecutive balls but batsmen managed to touch them, then a a penalty should be orced on batsmen. so batsmen would play next three balls with an offstump gaurd.

5)Remove Wide ball restrictions.

6)Remove the limit on the amount of overs a bowler can bowl in a match. This would allow captain to use his inform bowler to full effect(this should be used as when two batsmen can play all 20 overs then 2 bowlers should be allowed to bowl 20 overs if they are willing to do so.)

I cant recall anymore, so you help me if you have any new suggestion.

hi guys,

1) Remove the No-Ball restriction from T20.

This works in both was. Only a exceptional bowler can bowl back to back accurate bouncers, and a good batsmen would still score runs of bouncers and mediocore struggle.

This does not work both ways as a bouncer over head height is a wide not a no ball. It also means the bowler. And if it is front foot no balls then the bowler may aswel bowl from just a pace away.

2) Remove the backfoot noball or increase the crease for backfoot noball.

This would introduce new angles in game. Balls would come at a sharper angles and we would see a more exciting contest(Ntini would go crazy if this happens)
Ummm.......

3) Introduce Strike Out System of Baseball, that is ,if a batsmen doesnt touch 3 consecutive balls then he is out.

Clearly you should just go and watch baseball this is outrageous!

4) If no run is scored of three consecutive balls but batsmen managed to touch them, then a a penalty should be orced on batsmen. so batsmen would play next three balls with an offstump gaurd.

Again maybe you should just go and watch Baseball, Cricket doesnt seem to be your sport!

5)Remove Wide ball restrictions.

Why?!?!?! Then the bowler could just bowl as wide as he likes!

6)Remove the limit on the amount of overs a bowler can bowl in a match. This would allow captain to use his inform bowler to full effect(this should be used as when two batsmen can play all 20 overs then 2 bowlers should be allowed to bowl 20 overs if they are willing to do so.)

Then you could just have two bowlers bowling 10 overs each! What are you going on about?

I cant recall anymore, so you help me if you have any new suggestion.

These are all rubbish and maybe you should just go and watch baseball! Bowlers are already suited to T20 as the batsmen are going nearly all out attack and the bowlers should be able to bowl line and length!

These are incredibly stupid ideas. With no wides and no balls, the bowler could bowl anywhere from anywhere.

Can I have an option in the poll, to ban International 20/20 and anyone who says they like the IPL, be sent to the moon and forced to watch Harbhajan Singh go about his daily routine?

Dillon provides us with another classic.

I don't see the need for changes to suit the bowler anyway, T20's just an entertainment sideshow. I don't consider it to be real cricket.

Myself and Dr. Pepper have fixed cricket

Tea Baker says:
lets bowl 50 metres wide of the stumps
Maninder says:
Lol
Maninder says:
And bowl a pace away from the batsman
Tea Baker says:
infact just give the bowler an Ak47
Maninder says:
Lol!
Tea Baker says:
and let him shoot the batsman
Maninder says:
How about we just change the game to basketball?
Tea Baker says:
how about we fire elephants out of cannons with red roses being used as stumps?
Maninder says:
Good idea
Maninder says:
It will really favour the bowlers
Maninder says:
And have a shrine devoted to Tendulkar in the middle of the pitch

These ideas are gold. I'll email them to the ICC and the BCCI right away!

No way dude! Tendulkar is God! He would destroy Pietersen!!:D:noway;):happy:happy:hpraise

Right me and Jaztheman have also fixed cricket, with even more suggestions:

Althought you forgot to have 17 stumps.
HOPE 2009 is gonna be a good 'un. I'm in love with a tortoise! says:
How do you expect a bowler to get a wicket with only 3 stumps?!
Tea Baker says:
put explosives on the stumps, that way Indians can't claim that the batsmen didn't make his ground when stumped as that batsman is in tiny pieces heading towards Brisbane
HOPE 2009 is gonna be a good 'un. I'm in love with a tortoise! says:
Yeah sounds good. Although you should have mines along the crease, like a minefield so if a bowler bowls it in a decent spot then it automatically stuns the batsman, resulting in an easy wicket.
HOPE 2009 is gonna be a good 'un. I'm in love with a tortoise! says:
You could also give them the option of bowling with a golf ball once an over, just to be nice.
Tea Baker says:
and have expllosives in that golf ball?
HOPE 2009 is gonna be a good 'un. I'm in love with a tortoise! says:
Hell yeah.
HOPE 2009 is gonna be a good 'un. I'm in love with a tortoise! says:
We should also allow all fielders chewing gum, so they can shine the ball at will.

You really made those up?

By the way i have said increase the backfoot no-ball crease. I didnt say remove it completely. Increasing it would allow bowlers to bowl at slightly greater angle.

And in the noball thing i meant bouncer limit should be removed jut like old days in test cricket.

Why does everyone have to be so dismissive eh? The guy made some suggestions, and I take it he did so in all seriousness. Don't agree with the suggestions, let him know that. But it seems, some of the guys here are but waiting for someone to slip, so that they can have some cheap fun trying to make the thread-starter look silly.
