2nd Test: England v Australia at Lord's

Ponting deserved to be out, that's all that matters to me.

The Queen is not a valid excuse for pushing it back sorry. I'm appalled.

The players are entitled to 40 minutes to eat, rest and discuss, the time it takes to meet the Queen is not part of that.

My point is, does it have to be done after a session? Flintoff and Anderson I'm guessing are ready for a drink and something to eat, why can't it be done before play?

This got my mum and I into a big agrument with my g'rents about the queen :p. I too was appaled at the fact that they had to do it in a session. The only thing I would want to do being Flintoff or Anderson would be to have a sit down and a drink!

He didn't hit the ball, and was caught out. Wrong yes, but it was absolutely plum LBW so, i'm sure he'll still feel it as a injustice.

You judging that from live or Hawkeye? Live you could see Leg stump when it hit his leg, not to mention it was still swinging when it hit him. Live it looked like just sliding down. You can't tell me you thought it was plum without hawkeye.

I though it was hitting leg stump pretty full on. Hawkeye merely confirmed it for me.

Aww...Huss hits a four.

There is some swing there for Anderson. He just needs to land it right.

ZoraxDoom added 4 Minutes and 18 Seconds later...

Oh dear, Broad into the attack. Lets hope he builds some pressure.

Lovely ball first up.

Good response from England/Anderson, but lets not forget this is only the early stages of the innings, THREE other aussies made hundreds in the 1st Test and we were 200/1 and 300/3, but bowled out for 425 so the game can change quite rapidly.

I'm not really surprised Strauss got out, like Cook not converting 50s recently, Strauss has made three 150s and none past 177.

There comes the rain. 31/2. Just when England were going well, the rain comes to spoil it :D That's gotta suck for the England side. Looks pretty heavy.

Before play they are ferociously preparing for the day, I've been to grounds an hour before the start and they are all practicing like mad. That would have been about 10am if they wanted to do it without disrupting practice and hardly anyone would be in the crowd to see it. What's 10 minutes when you are meeting the most important person on the planet?
