Do you guys believe that Cricket is losing its spirit after the massive commercial hoarding from the IPL ?

With sponsored sixes and fours and what not, is there a reason for Cricket fans to worry, in the event that it may affect the flow of the beautiful game?

Yeah IPL (and T20) is just all about the money, which comes from sponsorship.
Like renaming a six a "DHL Maximum"!!!!!
When I first heard that I though it was a joke.....

You can see from that other article; MS Dhoni 10mill each year, 2mill of that is getting paid from Indian cricket plus IPL franchise (I think Chennai), and the other 8mill is from sponsorship etc...

I feel test cricket will stay pure and the sponsor's will not buy into that as much as the T20 version however, which is good.

I'd agree - The advertising is ruining the flow of the game.

Money making is fine, but when it's pushed over the top, it get's disturbing. Condensing the game to 20 overs was bad enough :P
