Ravindra Jadeja- the hidden talent

one think many have not noticed yet and that is the performance of shaurastra guy RAVINDER JADEJA

did anyone observed his performance in the last few matches.
He is a very good bowler.
He bowled Mike Hussey and Adam Voges on fantastic deliveries
At vadodara he trapped the mighty Ricky Ponting on a good delivery.
The wicket of shaun Marsh adds to his talent.

The figures of 9-0-39-1 at vadodara and 6.3-0-35-3 at Nagpur troubled all Aussies batsmen.
His quick outfield is also very good and he could come well with his batting too.

So atleast India have advantageof his good bowling which they need the most this time.

Let's hope he could come well with his batting too so that india can have a good allrounder.

Jadeja is a good talent with the ball and on the field. If he can work on his big hitting skills with the bat, he can be a serious allround find for India.

He's not a big hitter, and I can't see him becoming one. As a fan of the Royals, I have seen him a lot, and think he is a very good player, filled with lots of potential. Unfortunately I don't see him fitting into the Indian side. He can anchor the innings, rather than coming in and playing a innings that Raina played the other day. Maybe when Sachin retires, he can go one down or two down. He nudges the ball into the gaps, and turns singles into twos. Good player of spin as well. For him to be useful to India, he needs to come in the top four or five. Not below that.

His bowling is pretty good. He is better than a part timer. I'm sure Warne's been helping him out greatly, especially after seeing the improvement in his bowling from the first season of the IPL to now. Better line and length, and some turn as well. He could become a very useful all-rounder to India. His bowling isn't good enough to have him come in the side just because of it. If he will come low down like he does now, then his big hitting will have to improve. Personally down the order, I would rather have Pathan. But if he is promoted to the top five, then definitely Jadeja.

If he has to bat at anywhere above 6, he has to be a pretty good batsman than he is right now. With the amount of specialist batting talent available in India, I dont see an above average batsman who can bowl, play for India on a consistent basis. I think he can improve upon his big hitting prowess. Big hitting is not something that has to come early with you. You can perfect the art in many ways. The more power you have in your body could help. Creating new shots (like the 'Dilscoop') can help, etc. Its not like the 'short pitched batting' stuff that you have to learn before you enter international cricket.

He isn't the sort of batsman who can come in and hit from ball one though. He's much better at just taking the singles and constantly keeping the scoreboard ticking. When he does try for the big shot, it usually just ends up in him playing and missing, mistiming it and getting a single or two, or getting out. India will have to decide what to do with him. If they want to keep him at seven, then I don't think he will succeed. Players who don't play aggressive tend to struggle playing aggressive, since that's not their natural game. Only players with Class such as Kallis and Dravid to name a few are able to adjust their game to meet the needs of the team. Both can now play aggressive when it's required. Jadeja will keep struggling batting lower down the order. They can help him develop his technique to meet the needs of a top 5 batsman, rather than making him into something he is not.

The thing is... his batting is not bad... it's just that the role he's been given doesn't suit his style of play. It's just unfortunate (for him, good for India) that the batting order is so packed that he has to come in at number 7. He's not a number 7 batsman. He can't hit out very well. He has batting talent. It just can't be used properly in such a strong batting line up.

I think Jadeja is a good batsmen what he has shown in IPL and domestic
but the international pressure is always there on a new cricketer.
If he got more chances he will be a performing at international level too.

Indian Fans in general have a bad habit of hyping up young players and then lambasting them when they can't live up to the fans' expectation. Ravinder Jadeja has a lot to prove still and should not be judged so early in his career. The guys is talented, lets just see what he does?

Nothing much can be done. Its the passion with which Indian fans follow the game. It almost becomes their own life for them. I was also a part of those guys dissing Jadeja after his performance in the T20 World Cup. Right now, my opinion about him is entering the 'positive' zone. When you do well, you are favored. When you dont, you are criticised.

Agree. He's no number 7.

I think we've found a new Kaif in Jadeja. A good fielder, and at the beginning of his career played at number 7.

I don't think he fits into our current setup very well. Nayar is a better choice.

one thing I would like to say that nobody said that JADEJA WOULD BE ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS or something HE WILL TAKE INDIA TO A WORLD CUP WIN
