yeap, the best of three finals is a very good concept.
I would also love to see it, why can't two more matches.

Agreed. But, don't you feel if we have 'best of three' finals it will be much fair for the better team. In T20 any team can defeat the other team on its day. I feel for Mumbai as they were the better team, rather the best team of the tournament. One loss and it's all ruined for them.
They deserved to lose with such incompetent management.
Rather, I'd say they deserved to win after playing such a fantastic tournament.![]()
Everybody remembers the last act and their last act was a loss.
Sir Don Bradman got out on a duck in his last innings. Do we remember him as a pathetic batsman?
Certainly not.
But one is reflecting on a single tournament and the other about a whole career.
We are talking about this year's tournament. And, without doubt Mumbai was the best team of the tournament. I know they lost their last game, but it doesn't mean they 'deserved' to lose (as posted by Sami_Ullah_Khan)

I am more concerned about the way they lost. They were the best team in the tournament but they shot themselves in the foot in the final. That is what i am upset about.
Aren't you all guys who are complaining about format were saying the tournament concept is fair in the thread created by Yudi about same reason? What matter is win in finals with huge amount of pressure and not how you perform throughout. If MI was best team they should have won the finals. It's general excuses by every person after his team lost in knockout match after dominating whole season. Thumbs up for CSK for winning the finals by beating the MI in their home ground.

Yeah, if you consider the IPL as a whole, Chennai would be regarded as the best team and Delhi will probably follow them. But, as far as this year's IPL is concerned, Mumbai deserved to win.Look, Chennai is the best team in the IPL. Mumbai may be the best in this IPL (only the group stages), but overall, Chennai has been ahead of its competition. They have reached 3 semi finals and 2 finals in just 3 years. No other team has done that. It's about time that they won.
I thought that was enough to make you understandCould please post that again and this time at least in readable English. I tried hard but failed to understand even a single thing.
