Any of you play these games?

I've got Rock Band 1 + 2, as well as Lego Rock Band and The Beatles: Rock Band. Green Day: Rock Band should be coming tomorrow :) As you can tell I'm a rock band man. And the new game in the series has just been announced :) 'Rock Band 3': Keyboards are the key - USATODAY.com

I'm very excited for it :D

I have Rock Band 1, Guitar Hero 5 and I am currently borrowing Guitar Hero World Tour. The songs on Rock Band are probably better but the gameplay just doesn't compare to Guitar Hero. Having only had it a few months I have now reached 'Hard' and can regularly finish the less intense songs with 90%+.

I love this game, it's just so enjoyable and you can play it at anytime. It's especially good when you feel bored.

Ah, I play on expert, have approx 45 GH3 FCs, if anyone wants to play some GH3/World Tour/Metallica on 360, my gamertag is Dahalomayn. Unfortunately, my drum kit is kind of buggered, the red pad's too sensitive and I cbf ordering a midi to USB cable, but I'm a decent expert player on that too.

If only Rock Band 2 would release in Australia, I would be a happy man. I would import it, but a big case of cbf. Like, my life would be complete haha.

I would have thought Rock Band 2 was released in Australia a long time ago :/

When I got it I went straight to hard on guitar and drums, and it was pretty, on guitar/bass at least. I play expert only on guitar/bass now, and always seem to screw up a few notes each time. But that's more likely due to the fact that I'm singing along on hard at the same time.

It's good to play when you have friends around. Also when your parents have invited a whole heap of people around and their children come too, you can just play rock band with them :)

I don't understand though how you think the gameplay doesn't compare however?

It just seemed to me that the note placement/occurance on Guitar Hero was much better. Also, I just enjoy playing GH more than RB. Might play a bit of Rock Band later and take another look.

One annoying thing is you have to unlock pretty much all the songs before you can play them on quickplay. With GH 5 you don't have to. The career mode on Rock Band is miles better than GH, though.

Rock Band is definitely for the purists; it's made by Harmonix, the makers of Guitar Hero 1/2/Rocks the 80s. The note-charts are definitely purer, none of this keyboard/cluster**** chord bullshit. Rock Band 2 is definitely funner than RB, funner timing window (GGAHT's Solo F on RB1 is impossible, haha) and better songs.

The best thing about Rock Band/2 is the DLC; new songs every Tuesday, and I mean, come on, two full Megadeth albums?

And yeah, Australia's the only country in the world that RB2 hasn't been released in, because EA are a bunch of cocks.

It took over a year to get it in New Zealand; I just imported it. And then because I have a wii I hacked it :)

I have GH 3 and 4 (World Tour).

Oh yea! Rock Band is the meanest game. I've only recently started playing it after my mate bought it round but I am addicted to it!

Been playing Green Day:Rock Band a lot :)

It has lots of moderate difficulty songs with a few quite difficult ones. I like it because I know all the songs in it :) A few FC on guitar, and on the mic. I normally play guitar and sing at the same time and get 98-98 or so each time. Haven't managed to get a 100-100 yet though.

I feel the songs are more fun to play than a lot of the other ones though because they're mostly upbeat and stuff.

I play piano, flute and guitar :sarcasm You can't really tell me to go play a real instrument. I would also play drums but my mum says I'm not allowed to buy a kit because they're too loud :sarcasm

learn how to play real instruments :sarcasm
Grow a real penis :sarcasm

Yeah, I've played guitar for 5 years, played drums for 2 and a bit and a few years of piano a while back. Guitar Hero/Rock Band are completely different to real instruments anyway, they're incomparable, real instruments don't comprise of plastic buttons and star power afaik
