It is by design. The game loads the colour black as the background and then loads that blue shirt guy.


Depending on which stadium or team, you may get a blue guy with a tanned look, asian look, african look or british look.


These are the following umpire decisions:

None,
Out,
Not Out,
Free Hit,
Six,
Four,
Wide,
No Ball,
Review,
Bye,
Leg Bye,
New Ball,
Power Play,
Dead Ball,
Final Hour,
One Bouncer,
Two Bouncer


After that, it loads the NGUI GUI demo main menu or back to game, depending on the situation.

There are actually 3 GUIs for that umpire
- High Def (iPhone 5, iPad 4, XBOX, PS3)
- Medium (PC, slower PCs)
- Low (Android, iPad 2) version.


The XBOX, PS3, iPad3 version would load high-def version of the umpire, the mobile a smaller version, the PC - normal size version.


The game keeps loading and saving it's state in memory and causes significant slow-downs.

Take a look at it. You will chuckle. Arrays of players, Nested XML, there's even NULL XML parts, negative numbers -1, a few more save-games later, it corrupts

That explains a lot of the issues I was having - basically any time I loaded a save game, it would usually be impossible to complete it.

I get it is always best to start from scratch but we are talking of indie devs and modders,and esp with regards to cricket we cant even get it crowdfunded.so making assets and code opensource will help as ,they would give a good base in cases applicable.
and memory leaks is mostly due lack of optimisation of assets,which maybe bad as a game but if made opensource would be a great as an asset,because it is easily optimisible and custimisable. its better to animate a smooth animation from existing animation than ,expecting an indie or mod to mocap or keyframe from scratch.

It is not possible to do so.

The animations are done wrong or stupidly. They were meant to fit a certain way and adding or removing additional frames means re-doing the whole set of animations.


The mo-cap data is wrong. If you see the players, they look like they are going to the bathroom going to *****, they run funny like as if they have rickets or some bone deformation, the umpire movements are wrong.


The code is all wrong, they are collection of demonstration codes.


The models are wrong, they are not optimised, the graphics are done wrong.


The whole game needs to be done ground-up again from scratch, with expert team.


If you crowd-fund, you would achieve nothing and squander the money of the crowd-sourced funds.

There is code for this in-game. It might work but who knows? the touch screen monitor for Windows are very expensive.

Nice work silvetthorne
like i have said before they where probably new hire with little to no knowledge of unity,they could have easily optimized the assets and plugged memory leaks if they knew what they where doing.
also they have clearly messes with playmaker and ngui,they probably read this is a great plugin for making gui and just installed it and thought it would do the job for them.
regarding assets i still stand by saying ya animations or jerky and broken but can be fixed by changing ik constraints and key framing a bit.

and promise i didnt mean to crowdfund to fix or develop on top of this game,
I meant its difficult to get crowdfunding for a cricket game.
So if we can get a few stuff royalty free it would be cool

ya the other point to be noted is they have used a very recent version of unity 4.2f4 which released only a few months ago and no sane dev is going to keep changing version esp close to release.
the new hires probly started anew packagin whts there in September again.

The above-mentioned would contribute to around 60% of the game.
The 40% would be the demos which I explained.


The artwork is 100% their own developments. If they went on the cheap, the artwork could have been purchased from 3D modelling shop - such as TurboSquid.


For the 60% of the game, there is nothing of particular interest.

The CricketDatabase is around almost 50% and the loading, saving XML code would be all over the place.

The 20% is the GUI and the 20% is the audio codes.

The rest 10% is the adaptation of the demo codes to use.
