M.S.Dhoni - The Movie

The last test series against England, that was objectively embarrassing for India and especially Dhoni.

Yeah one random series (which is instantly corrected in the ODIs btw), versus, the fact that he has won every major trophy there is in the sport to win.

I bet Steve Waugh didn't look very clever losing the 2001 Test after getting India to follow, how does that impact Waugh's larger legacy.

Yes we want MSD to win more series abroad, and that is a definitely something he can improve on. However to hold this one blemish against him and to actually say it undeos all the other remarkable things he as done is ridiculous. Every captain has something that they failed at.

Waugh didn't win a series in India, despite calling it the final frontier, Graeme Smith could never deliver any major trophy despite having one of the finest sides ever assembled. Plus all sides struggle outside their homes with the conditions.. Aus have won just 1 test in 7 years in Asia. So its not like struggling is something exclusive to MSD.

However that he was won every major trophy possible most definitely is an exclusive club, and MSD one of the very very few members.

Change the record!

Why? Because it flies in the face of your biased point of view? I like you think the facts should not be mentioned as they are inconvenient. How about you write to the ICC to erase the records while you are it.

Oh BTW did I mention that MSD has won every major trophy there is to win :D? Need some burnol?

Let's not over do it with the colours please.

I think the biggest challenge will be handling of MSD the Captain - MSD's captaincy is just as big a part of his persona as his destructive batting, if not more. Since captaincy is a lot more about the mental aspect of the game, it will be interesting to see if the team can do justice to that

Also wondering how negatively or positively will they tackle the CSK-Srinivasan-Meyiappan angle. I am guessing it will mainly be positive since it has been approved by BCCI itself

No way on earth that the BCCI would allow a film that talks about the controversial side of the NSR - MSD - Meiyappan connection.

OP: what is your opinion on this? You're asking for ours without providing your own which seems a little odd...

I've never been a big fan of sporting films TBH: especially when you just know that its going to glorify the guy and not show the negative sides of his career...
I would say the malayalam film 1983 is an exception. The film clearly define the challenges faced by a cricketer at South India.A good film and the climax also is good.Need more of such sporting films in Bollywood levels also.Dil Bole Hadippa was OK shows how much women cricketers are neglected but was more spicy a movie than what we expect.
