In many ways, I see that world cricket has changed of late. A few years ago, the ICC had a ruling in place which forbade any form of international cricket to be played a month before any ICC event. In the case of the World T20, one sees that South Africa & Australia were still playing when the tournament started. Warm games too, aren't being telecast this time round. The official reasoning behind that being - it takes away the seriousness from the main event. This is quite contradictory when you see the Aussies square off with the Proteas.

Coming to the rain rule, I see no reason why the Qualifying teams can't play the same game tomorrow. I'd so be rooting for one of the Top 3 to bow out due to such a fallacy during the semi-finals, that's when you'd see the rules change. Perhaps, overnight too!

I think Afghanistan has got this unless Zimbabwe bat very well or Afghanistan throw it away. Its a shame really: I've always thought that Zimbabwe are as much victims of the current way that the ICC is run as the Associates are: although now they do seem to be getting some more games against the bigger full members than they were a couple of years ago.

because that would be sensible, we can't be having that. it also admittedly could be because of TV rights but I'd honestly prefer it if they played the games and showed highlights of them afterwards rather than not played at all.

Though SDhami got thrashed early, he bowled prety well at the death and even entered the wickets column twice.

Sadly they aren't showing the warmups on anywhere that I can find. Personally I would rather watch SA vs India then scotland vs hongkong.

Some on the pitches from what we have seen from the qualifying rounds and the warmups. Seems Mumbai and Kolkata are batting pitches while nagpur and dharmasala are slow and low with nagpur taking quite a bit of spin. Those who knows these pitches expect things to change or is this just the way these pitches normally play?

Kolkata won't be a batting pitch. It is generally a slow turner as we have often seen KKR fill their side with spinners to take advantage of that. Mumbai will always be a good batting surface but there will be a bit of bounce in it for bowlers. ICC has removed Dharamsala as the venue for T20 WC which is a shame because it is a beautiful venue to play cricket. I am not too sure about Nagpur surface.

We got pretty close in the end in that warm-up match against South Africa. I think Dhawan and Raina's inning should be a big positive for India. India vs South Africa. It was trending on twitter even though this match wasn't broadcasted.

Dharmasala completely removed? Pity was hoping it was only the pak game moved.

I think Duminy was always going to be important in India. He bats well in sub-continent even though he struggles against quality off spin. With all his IPL experience and his off spin, he is a very handy player to have in your T20 line-up.

Did Raina retire hurt to give chances to others, or is something wrong? That was a very good innings from him. To me, he is still a vital cog in India's limited overs batting in subcontinental pitches.

Yuvraj and Dhoni's innings are pleasing. Both had excellent S/R's.
