Record Breakers v The kings of cricket (1205609)

Welcome to Record Breakers CG for the match between Record Breakers and The kings of cricket.

We can tell you that Record Breakers won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloud day.

Record Breakers have selected Salahuddin, Stride, Carragher, Milton, Robbins, Ardley, Dudfield, Collis, Broadbridge, Green, Whitehouse.

The kings of cricket have picked Basham, Fenton, Nomvete, Nkosi, Scales, Fu, Van niekerk, Furse, Pennant, Peacock, Renner.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

0.1 1 Peacock to Salahuddin
Quick single, almost as an afterthought. Slightly short of length, Salahuddin went back and across and defended. As the ball rolled away towards extra cover he spotted a single in there and they rush across.
0.2 . Peacock to Stride
Stride stuggled to keep that one off the stumps.
0.3 1 Peacock to Stride
Almost run out! They really shouldn't have run that single.
0.4 . Peacock to Salahuddin
When bowlers give you that kind of opportunity, you have to take it. Salahuddin decides otherwise though. Maybe he has some kind of masterplan to implement.
0.5 . Peacock to Salahuddin
Shortish ball outside off stump. Salahuddin stands tall and punches it powerfully straight to mid off.
0.6 1 Peacock to Salahuddin
He squares up the batsman who only manages to fend it out to the region of mid wicket.

End of Over 1: 3-0, runrate=3.00
Peacock 1-0-3-0
Salahuddin* 2 (4 balls)
Stride 1 (2 balls)

1.1 . Van niekerk to Salahuddin
That's a jolly good defensive shot into the ground. The ball swung in from a wonderful delivery by Van niekerk.
1.2 1 Van niekerk to Salahuddin
Plays the bouncer with soft hands onto the leg side, and they run through for one.
1.3 1 Van niekerk to Stride
Driven down the ground. Just a single.
1.4 6 Van niekerk to Salahuddin
93.9mph, but slogged back all the way over the ground and into the car park.
1.5 4 Van niekerk to Salahuddin
FOUR, shot! Driven down the ground and Renner has no hope of reaching that.
1.6 1 Van niekerk to Salahuddin

33.6 . Dudfield to Pennant
A swing and a miss, he was closer to hitting the keeper than the ball.

End of Over 34: 175-7, runrate=5.15, reqrunrate=11.69 (361-4)
Dudfield 7-0-31-1
Scales* 37 (41 balls)
Pennant 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Furse b. Green 1 (FOW: 169/7)

34.1 1 Green to Scales
Played out to the backward point region. Carragher fields.
34.2 1 Green to Pennant
Played out to extra cover for a single.
34.3 . Green to Scales
Angled in, on the toes, played out to mid on, Broadbridge quick to run in and field.
34.4 . Green to Scales
Good job silly point is wearing a helmet because it's just saved a certain four and a substantial number of his brain cells!
34.5 1 Green to Scales
Turned around to backward square leg.
34.6 . Green to Pennant
A lot of spin on that ball by Green and it bounces well over the stumps. Milton whips the bails off and congratulates Green for a fine bit of bowling.

End of Over 35: 178-7, runrate=5.09, reqrunrate=12.27 (361-4)
Green 8-0-30-3
Scales* 39 (45 balls)
Pennant 1 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Furse b. Green 1 (FOW: 169/7)

35.1 . Dudfield to Scales
Sharp turn from Dudfield, the batsman picked it but still couldn't get it away for runs.
35.2 W Dudfield to Scales
Scales drops the knee and swings a mighty slog-sweep but gets a thick edge and skies it to square leg. Broadbridge is in a good position and takes a great catch.
35.3 . Dudfield to Peacock
Forward, played out to mid off, Robbins diving to stop the ball, great fielding.
35.4 . Dudfield to Peacock
Good, tight, shortish ball on off stump, eases it away towards point in defence.
35.5 . Dudfield to Peacock
He didn't know much about that! The bowler has out-thought him with that ball.
35.6 . Dudfield to Peacock
That ball would have turned on concrete! It ended up missing the edge by at least two inches.

End of Over 36: 178-8, runrate=4.94, reqrunrate=13.14 (361-4)
Dudfield 8-1-31-2
Pennant* 1 (3 balls)
Peacock 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Scales c. Broadbridge b. Dudfield 39 (FOW: 178/8)

36.1 1 Green to Pennant
Clean strike, but he picks out mid off.
36.2 . Green to Peacock
Green will have to bowl Peacock a piano, to see if he can play that!
36.3 W Green to Peacock
Peacock threw his bat at that one and lofted it straight into Broadbridge's hands. Well held!
36.4 W Green to Renner
OUT! Renner has top edged the sweep and Milton has made a great reaction catch.

Thanks for that repped. Did read it ball by ball by the way.

Can you get my players faces for me? There is only 15

I have a dilemna, I am playing handsome in the semi final this week, and I don't know whether I should play 2 spinners on a dusty pitch.

What are your thoughts on these guys and should I play them?

LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, worthless batting form, worthless bowling form,
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: competent Consistency: feeble
Fielding: feeble

RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, sublime

Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: woeful
Bowling: competent Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal

What do you think?

Not the second one. No stamina, and consistency is poor for a spinner. First isn't great either, but is better.
